I guess thats why I they had time to contact me after I left and told them their lies had ruined it for them. I guess when you dont need a sale you try to win back someone that called you a liar, who was buying the car for nearly no profit for you(a 2017 SS Convertible for 6k under trade in?) When I looked at it, I was getting the impression of "hallelujah, finally getting rid of this this. "Remember at first they told me it was a typo, They went to manager for correct price and they said they would honor it if I bought it that night so they could get it out of inventory, it was a  auction purchase in August 2017, sold new in March 2017. I honestly think I could have made a few grand a day later  detailing it and driving it straight to carmax. Two weeks later it disappeared, them returned priced $5,000 higher I assumed after they removed the dense layer of bird crap, which they told me would happen the next day if I didn't buy it. Instead the lowered the price and held it after calling me to come back to buy it, I told them I was only going to pay 4k less. I could afford the agreed price, but now I'm including a "BS tax"

Is the dealer still in business? Sounds like you were their only customer and they needed the car sold to stay afloat! While it would have been nice to move the car, they really didn't care if they sold it to you, especially if it was at a loss to them. Fact is, they really don't care, as much as you think they do... I've had dealers call back before as well, they are salesmen it's what they do, but their days don't revolve around one car and I highly doubt they are losing sleep over it.

They called me again today and asked  to stop back in or call back. It's been over a month now since I was there.

It’s a lot easier to talk to a guy on the fence, than to start fresh. I always like a call back. Sometimes is works, other times I get to tell them what I bought instead.

Ceramic coating of paint is a thing now?

 

I remember back when I had my '94 CBR600 that I bought new, I had the rear swingarm ceramic coated (around '96 or so), and my buddy had his header off his bike coated that same day too. Was a silver powder-coat-looking coating - was much stronger than regular powder coat.

 

I guess alot happens in 22 years, lol.

It's just uberwax in other words. Some use it instead of ppf if they like rock chips(some people think it prevents chips, because they read about these Porsche, Ferrari and Vette guys that "don't get chips".....you know the old guys that drove their cars  2k miles a decade, only on sunny days after the sand was washed off the roads2 months before) then you see the guys that actually drive their cars that know it might prevent pebble chips some times but not real chips.

 

 My personal pref is just use a good OTC wax a few times a year over my PPF.

 

Ryan, are you putting it under or over the ppf? What brand did you go with? My wife's Xpel has taken some major assault.

Purchased them.  They are standard only on the ZL1/1LE model.
