Foglights On With High Beams

Just finished the mod. Picked up some diodes at radio shack. I pinned 10 to 22. Works like a charm. Fogs on with both low/hi beams.

Thanks spurshot for getting this figured out!!! I did the #10/#22, I will say that getting it in the #10 was a F'er!!!! The #22 was cake but works AWESOME!!!

Can anyone confirm if this will work with a 6amp rectifier diode? I have a couple lying around and wanted to give this a shot.

I think it'll work fine. The main thing is to get the orientation right. We're dealing with a signal, not powering anything.

I finally had time to give it another shot after a few weeks. got it to work #10 & #22. question though. now that my fogs stay on ALL the time, I thought I would be able to manually shut them off if I wanted to. there is no way of doing so. is that correct? or did I do something wrong?

If you do a 10-18 jump, the fogs will be manually controlled except when the high beams are turning on. Turning on the high beams will turn on the fogs automatically.

Bit overwhelmed at this whole thing. On my 09 do I want to do the 85/85 under the hood for fog light + high beam or the #10 & 18 under the dash in the brown connector??

I have a question regarding a modification I would like to do on my truck that goes along with this mod. I've been wanting for my cargo lights/ bed LEDs to turn on when you use the fob to unlock the doors. Has anybody tried this or perhaps know how to accomplish this?
