I purchased a 2014 Silverado a few weeks ago and I need to get rid of the dealer sticker. What's the best way to go this without pulling off the paint?re5ata8e.jpg4azubade.jpg

Hello fellow Chattanoogan. Ive got the same poorly placed dealer sticker and was thinking of doing the same. Im hoping it will just peel off. I will try when turns off hot again this weekend.

I told my dealer not to put one on, I'm sure you could ask them to remove it… But fishing line works too, then goo gone for the glue and wax to clean it up…

Just work an edge up with your finger and pull. If that doesn't work, the fishing line works great. The glue isn't strong enough to remove paint. Its also easiest to do in the heat of the day. Glue is softer. And goo gone works great for remaining residue. Same method for any of the decals on the truck. Mine came off day one.

I used a hair dryer to loosen the adhesive; the sticker came right off with no issues. You will also need a little bug & tar remover to get rid of the adhesive residue.

Mountain View and their ugly dealer sticker. Like what was said before, hair dryer and pulling should work, then a little Goo Gone.

That now qualifies as the most hideous dealer sticker I have ever seen. The placement as well.

Warm it up with a hair drier on a hot day and it should pull right off slowly. Use goof off or goo gone and wipe off the residue. You may need to wax the spot after since removing the adhesive will take the wax off as well.

Thanks for all the input guys. We've had a massive cold front come in this week (only getting into the low to mid 80's). So I'll probably wait until next week to try it out. Or maybe I'll drag the hair dryer out tomorrow.

Wipe down with a little goo gone and done.
