Nerf bars / assist steps ?

I am thinking of maybe doing different steps than the GM chrome 6 inch steps that I have. I was thinking maybe N-Fabs in the textured black if I decide to keep the fender flares black. I'm on the fence at either spending $500 on painting the flares or the bars. You folks are good at making your thoughts known and it is of value. So, feedback please.

I don't think I clarified what I meant about spending $500 dollars on. I meant either painting the flares the body color or keeping the flares black and spending the money on black n-fab bars. Sorry

I think painting the flares with textured black N fabs would look awesome. That is too nice a color to break it up with black flares. But that is just me. Hell , paint em both.

Please, paint the flares to match the color of your truck.

OK, I've seen your truck in a couple of posts so here's my opinion. I think you have too much going on between the brown, black and chrome. Don't worry, I have the same problem. So here's what you should do. Pick between brown and black and brown and chrome. If you go brown and chrome, then paint the fender flares to match the truck and keep the chrome running boards. If you go brown and black, then keep the fender flares black, get some N-fab, Iron Cross, etc. wheel to wheel steps in black. Then swap out the chrome door handles, mirror caps and remove the chrome trip strip. Also, plastidip the toolbox black. Then look into paint to match bumpers and grill. Obviously, this route is a lot more work and money, so you'll have to ultimately choose what you want. But right now, it's a little too busy with the 3 colors trying to mix.

Color matched flares would set it off with the chrome handles and the current steps. IMO the black doesn't vibe as nice as the chrome on that brown.

This is a great line of thinking. There is a bit much going on with the color scheme. Most vehicles look better trying to stick to more of a coordinated two-tone scheme.
