Cleaning windshield - the inside?

Not easy to use my hands/arms to wipe the inside of the windshield of the truck to clean it - can't reach it all, esp the center section. There must be secrets to performing this task - like maybe a tool? Certainly everyone has cleaned the inside of the windshield - how have you accomplished the task? I put newspaper on the dash (to keep the sprayed cleaner off the dash) and then spray Stoner's Invisible Glass on the windshield and then use a short stick with paper towels (Sparkle brand) wadded on the end of it - works fair (sometimes) but detailers must have a method.

use you print newspaper to dry/clean the glass after spraying your cleaning solution, and forget the paper towels. result = streak less/spotless. old school method.

 

most paper towels sold today have a fragrant added which gets released when the paper gets wet....resulting in swirl marks, streaks, etc to clear glass.

I use this. It works great. No need for cleaners. Just wet, rinse and wring out and wipe. You will see water on the glass but don't worry, It will dry and you will not see it anymore. I always seem to get that haze on the inside of my windshield, I guess from all the plastic off gassing. Well this cleans it right up and not streaks at all.

 

I'm going to get the Stoners tool listed above and put this cloth on that to get to the windshield better. I think the two together would make for super easy window cleaning.

 

We even use the cloth to clean the mirrors in our house, works great.

I got one of those things that was advertised on tv a few years ago came with micro towel pad and a small spray bottle for water. Really works well, should be even better with Invisible Glass.

I've use the old school newspaper method for years...works everytime. However, I don't use newspaper on my aftermarket tinted windows, only microfiber towels.

You can also use a micro fiber cleaning towel on the back side of you hand. Spray the towel then wipe the glass. No need to hit the glass with spray.

 

I have used stoner and many others and have found Adams glass cleaner to really make the glass disappear. Heck, I buy it by the gallon. I use their waterless micro fiber towel rather than their glass cleaner towel. Towel needs to be fairly clean. For the outside glass, I clean first with water to remove most the junk and them the Adams glass cleaner.

 

Not trying to be an Adam fan boy, as I use a lot of the Zanio products and others, but I find the Adams glass sealer to be better than rain x or others. Easy on and off and to me works better. Hardly use the wipers unless in a real tropical downpour. Best to clay ur windshield before the sealer. They have sales around holidays, next may be Halloween.

STex, where do you buy Adam's products - from the company on-line? Do any automotive stores sell it - would be nice just to drive to a store and pick some up rather than buying on-line, pay shipping and then waiting.

You purchase online or from local distributors. Post on their forum and find out if there is a local distributor in your area
