I have about 5200 miles on mine and no shakes or vibrations.

I have a 15 Sierra cc shorted with the 6.2 Max Trailer package. The truck had a vibration when I test drove it and I brought it to the dealers attention. I was told that I had to put at least 500 miles on before they would look at it. I am about to call the dealer to start this process. I have read through a lot of info but any guidance would be appreciated.

My truck has what I can only describe as an oscillating vibration in the steering wheel at about 45-50 and a pretty bad shake at about 65-75. It is on Goodyears which I am not a fan but I don't think that is the core of the issues, mine feels more like driveline than tires.

Based on the complaints I have read on here, a VERY small amount of trucks have a vibration, with an even smaller amount developing a vibration when there previously was none. It sounds to me like you got sold a truck with issues and the 500 mile line was a load of bull. I would have walked as soon as I heard that. Unfortunately you didn't and are now stuck having to deal with your mistake. Best of luck! I hope they can fix it for you.

Ya you got screwed "volvoitb". I have never heard of a dealer having to wait 500 miles before looking into a warranty issue. All that happened was they just wanted to get the sale and you were gullible enough to take the truck even though it had vibrations.

A small amount of trucks have the vibration? Really? Have you read the vibration thread? Hell, its 48% have it and 52% don't on this thread alone. I see 14's in my area selling with less than 8000 miles everywhere. The Ford dealership doesn't even want them in trade because they don't sell due to the vibrations. They told me that they have 11 of them sitting at the auction house that nobody wants.

edit: and yes, I know the 15 Ford F-150s have issues with vibration too but thats another discussion itself.

I highly doubt every K2 truck owner is on this thread. Less than 1% in all is on this forum so going by that only a fraction of 1% has vibration issues. Is it still too many of these trucks with the issue? Of course, but my point is that you can't go by 1 forum or all forums in general on what % of these trucks have vibration issues. When I first got my '14 in April '14 there wasn't many K2s around here on the road. Now, I see one every time I turn a corner. Actually worse than the Mustang craze and worse than when the gen 5 Camaro 1st came out.

I don't recall saying that every K2 truck owner is on this thread or this forum.

But, you're against his comment saying only a small amount of the trucks have vibrations and then you started to mention the thread about it. My point is that even if 1/2 the K2 owners on this forum have vibration issues, that doesn't mean anything when talking about the overall % of the trucks that have vibrations. You were trying to say it did with your comment.

Its pointless discussing anything with you. I have read a lot of your comments and you will defend GM till the end of time. Even if yours vibrated you would say it didn't.

My point is that the guys with the vibrations are tired of hearing certain individuals that don't have the vibration down play it all the time. Its great that you don't have it and I hope you never do because the aggravation of constantly having to bring a brand new truck in to a dealership who only wants to call it normal or whatever is a pain in the neck. The fact is that of the people who voted in THIS POLL 48% have it and 52% don't, so quit trying to twist my words and put a spin on it. I will let you get the last word because I know you will insist on it.

If I will defend GM no matter what then I wouldn't have basically said it shouldn't be as many trucks with vibrations. I haven't downplayed the vibration issue, just when someone tries to make it seem like it's more of them with vibrations than it really is. I know GM isn't perfect and if a product they have should be better I will admit it. But also Ford or Dodge or Toyota aren't perfect either. I know some people have had problem after problem, but so as some people with other brands. If someone wants to go another brand I could care less, it's their money and decision.

Oh and I don't need the last word, but if I have something to say I will say it. If I don't have anything to respond with then I won't.

But hey, like you said, I have no idea what the hell I'm talking about and probably shouldn't have a computer or smartphone to post on here since I'm an idiot so you're not the only one that thinks what you think. Makes me wonder myself why I haven't put my Glock 19 up to my head.

Everybody have a nice day.

Well, that escalated quickly, like it always seems to when someone who has issues (or had issues) with their truck reads a comment that his issues are not as widespread as he thinks they are. Listen, there are well over 1,200,000 K2's on the road, The number of trucks with issues is actually a small amount compared to the number sold. More common than they should be?

Sure, there shouldn't be that many issues.

But, of course you know that you can't draw any conclusions from an internet poll on a forum that is full of people that come to look for a place to complain about the issues they have, right? I mean you do know that trying to draw conclusions is just plain illogical. But since you insist on drawing conclusions, so will I, 169 people on this poll are saying they have a shake or vibration. Even if the people that visit this site represent only 1% of total people that HAVE ISSUES with their K2xx's and we would illogically extrapolate the numbers, that would give us 16,900 trucks with a vibration. Heck, let's be conservative and say 0.1% of the people that have issues come to this site and voted on the poll, that would give 169,000 trucks with a vibration. Considering the number of these trucks sold, that is less 14% of the trucks sold with an issue. Is that too high? Of course, but it also means that 86% don't have vibration problems (over ONE MILLION K2's without vibrations).

There seems to be a fair amount of people on this site that have had some bad experiences with their 14/15 and don't hesitate to post about it in every thread they can, even long after they no longer own the vehicle and have moved on to a different Make altogether. Maybe it's time to let it go and move on entirely? All this negativity can't be good for your health.

Before you claim that I am a GM apologist, I am not. I am going this weekend to drive a Ram, Ford, Chevy and GMC. I am still undecided as to what to get. What I do know is that I will give them all a fair shot and when it comes to purchasing the truck in a couple months, I will give my choice a VERY thorough test drive before I commit to buying it.

x1000. There's also a growing number of 1-2 posters,"I have an issue with my truck, think I can get a buyback?", without even much description as to the extent of the issue, dealer visits, fixes done already, etc. It doesn't surprise me that there could be Ford, Ram, Toyota fans on this forum disguised as a GM owner. As there would be GM fans disguised on Ram, Ford forums no doubt. (Seriously, there's people have such a vendetta against something)

Question is why waste your time bashing the vehicle if you don't own it or never have tried it? I underlined your brand names there because people have CHOICES. Brand loyalty doesn't seem to be as big as it once was, so maybe embrace the competition between brands? I notice quite a few people in the vibration thread going to Rams, good for you, at least you fought your fight and made a decision and the problem wasn't going away.

I researched my new truck for at least a year on these forums, ford forums, and to a lesser extent the dodge forums. Looking at potential issues described here, test drove, drove friends and coworkers vehicles, and made a decision.

A lot of people are picky, but that is human nature, and certainly validated when spending the money we do on these vehicles. Again, that comes down to choice though.
