Don't take my posts the wrong way, I actually have a soft spot for Nissan, I'm just bitter that they've been shoving CVT's into so many of their vehicles and not offering at least one alternative transmission. I owned a 1991 Pathfinder that I owned up until 2007. Reliable as hell and it actually lived up to the name Pathfinder. Nissan SUV's have slowly devolved over the last decade.

I've almost got 10,000 miles on mine it's been shaking intermittently since about 3500. Usually low speeds. 25 - 30 mph in the neighborhood. Dealer already took the body bolts loose and it didn't change anything.

The question is; are the GM engineers working on a solution or is GM just ignoring the issue?

Any updates on your truck?

Why don't you take a look at a Nissan cvt trans. They actually know how to build one! Unlike others(GM) that try to make an over sized snowmobile trans and stick it in a car. A cvt will never make its way to a truck because it's made for small to mid size cars.

I would check your oil level. My last oil change at the dealer (2nd of the 4 free ones) they overfilled it by a quart and it ran like shit until I drained some out. Could be a similar situation you are having. Hope that's all it is!

Forgot to update this thread. I guess they re tightened the exhaust and balanced the tires. Been a few weeks since I had an issue

I voted null since I don't have a GM truck. I've had one way back in '96, failed transmission and intake manifold gasket issue they were noted for. Just here researching and I love trucks! But, hey GM, y'all are making it mighty hard for my next truck to be made by y'all! V8 to 4 cylinder mess, oil consumption mess, now this vibration! Just when I was about to think I could safely get a '15 GM...

According to http://www.nhtsa.gov/there are 65 complaints against the entire production of 2014 Siverados and not all complaints are vibration related. Now I don't claim to know how many Silverados were built in 2014 but there sure are not many who have filed a complaint with http://www.nhtsa.gov/ to attempt to get something done about it.

I have owned 3 2014 Silverados and all 3 were perfectly smooth. Maybe I'm lucky but I surely am in the majority anyway.

It's not being reported on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website because most owners probably don't consider the vibration to be a safety issue, more of an annoyance that may eventually lead to premature wear of components.

Edit: however if anyone wants to file a complaint, here is the website:

I've had my 2015 Silverado Crew Cab Z1500 Z71 5.3L for around 2 months now and about 1300 miles. No issues at all, smooth as glass on the highway, all the way up to 75mph.

My brother has a 2014 Silverado Crew Cab 5.3 and he has 28k on his and his is smooth as well, no vibrations.

I wonder how many other folks with Crew Cabs are smooth versus have vibrations? Could that be a factor (Regular/double, versus Crew cab?)

Now that the trans and throttle have gone through the learning proccess the throttle is much more responsive now, as is the trans. Still not 100% perfect, but much improved. I'm very happy with the truck overall, but hope GM will step up and address this issue for the folks that have the problem!
