Well after tossing the idea I finally pulled the trigger and purchased the corsa exhaust and k&n cold air intake for my Silverado. Installation took about an hour and a half. Im pretty happy with the way it sounds now. Im going to put some longtube headers and offroad y pipe in a few months after I recover from this purchase lol.

You installed the cold air and exhaust in an hour and half? That would take me two days. :)

How are u liking the k&n pros and cons plz I had the 77series in my colorado like it good horsepower increase love the sound when it swallows on WOT but only downside to k&n personally was the maintenace and heard that dry filters were better.? I heard Volant and airraid are good im looking for something to increase fuel mileage with some extra ponies.

Just get an Airraid MIT no need for the entire CAI on these trucks.

I am hesitant to do a CAI. I did one on my last truck and it droned between 60-65 mph. It drove me nuts! Worst mod I did. I would like to know more about this MIT.

I was almost 50 when I got my 04 Z71 and was at the point that sometimes I wanted loud and sometimes not, mostly on long trips. So I drilled the air box and went to the hard ware store and bought rubber plugs. On the exhaust I got some Super trap adjustable mufflers. On my 06 Trailblazer SS I went to my bender and ran a dual side with a Y pipe just pass the cats, we ran it with the stock exhaust with a header flange on the end of the tail pipe. The drone on the Trail blazer was bad, the whole truck was enclosed, I wanted to cap the loud side on trips. Now days when I want loud I just drive the old hot rod truck.

So far im pretty happy with it. I love the way it sounds at wot. I been using k&n on most of the cars ive owned and never had an issue with them.
