I had a bunch of little rug rats, toddlers, and vanishing teens around for the holidays and of course their parents, my kids. They think its my job to keep them supervised when at grand pops house, of course grand moms is in heaven. So I accidently forgot to give them their last gift till they were leaving after dinner about the time for clean up like always. I could tell by the looks on the parents face that they are going to really enjoy those little fart guns I found while shopping for gifts. I accidently forgot they said no noise makers for the little ones. I seemed to remember that while I was cleaning up, since they accidently forgot to do that before they left. I think they got the message.

That's the best part of "someone else's kids". My wife and I got our nephews each a pair of WWF The Rock punching gloves. Should be quite entertaining for their 8 hour road trip home!

I don't have patience for children right now. None at all.

I understand completely. Kids will definitely teach you patience.......

We have a nine year old girl. A two year old son and a new born son. The girl is getting her mothers attitude already so dealing with her mouth is a chore. Then the two year old is going thru a not sleeping on his own stage so we get to sleep with him in our bed and the baby in our room. So getting 4-5 hours of sleep a night is the norm in our house. But I wouldn't change a thing when I get home from work and my two year old runs to me yelling daddy and hugs my legs and makes me sit down and watch frozen for the 125 time this week.

I've got a 17 year old girl and a 9 year old boy and talk about clash of the titans these two can go at it like nobody's business and then love each other the next. One wants gas money and a new car and the other want every video game made. I guess I'm lucky I've only seen frozen twice. Lol

My sister and i are 18 and twins, she's always complaining or blaming me for something. I'm always the bigger person and just smile and agree. I can't wait to have kids one day, i'm so excited for that time of my life.

My biggest thing is my daughter is almost 8 years older than my son and she will tell him sometimes " life was so much better before you were born ".

Same story here. Several of my friends have kids now and I truly enjoy spending time with them (and for some reason they seem to like me  ). But as fun as it is, leaving before the bedtime battle or like yesterday telling my friends boy he needed to go get mommy or daddy when he told me he needed to use the potty is kinda nice too.

True story. My 2 year old is by far the most difficult of the 3, but she melts my heart when she runs and gives me a hug when I get home from work.

You're going to make a great mother someday, Sarah. No doubt about it. Don't be surprised if it sneaks up on you. (that part of suddenly wanting to have kids) And don't be ashamed of it either.
