isn't the measurement inside top corner to outside bottom corner? not top to bottom?

Check manufacture website for official tire sizes. Not all 285/65/20's measure the same, size will vary greatly by manufacturer.

I called the dealership and they're changing the tires to something bigger. It looked silly with such little tires

My 37" Trails measure roughly 35.5" so I doubt that very much.

 

Edit. Took a more accurate measurement and they're 36", so I'd imagine Toyo's run roughly the same.

Fuel makes an MT tire that's not horrible. Or.. Even a nitto.

My 295/55/20 toyos barely measure 32" installed.
