Hello

On the coldest of day happening quite often I'm getting code p2135 throttle body sensor

Also the truck goes into reduced power mode and service traction control comes on

I've checked all the wire to the throttle body

Cleaned throttle body

Checked battery terminal

Can't figure this one out...it only happens on cold cold mornings

Also if I'm driving and my windows are all up and I try to raise 2 or more up at the same time the service traction control display comes up?related?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

The windows issue may be connected to the PCM errors as well. As with anything that involves electricity, remove and clean all battery cable connections. Do not just look at them and then try to twist them and think that means the connection is good. Take them off both ends, clean and reattach. If you have or can get some, spray the connections with some of that gasket sealing spray. It will seal battery terminal connections from any moisture creeping in. Don't know if they still have it or not, but Chrysler used to have some really good gasket sealing spray. The spray leaves a clean looking connection, grease does not.

Thanks it going in Tuesday for the recall

pretty awesome a gmc dealer would sell a used vehicle with unrepaired recalls

wonder what else they missed. ...........

I had the similar issue with my 2011 Silverado around 52,000 miles, while cruising the freeway my trucks Check engine light came on as well as the Traction control light. as had "Reduced Engine Power", "Service Traction Control" and "Service Stabilitrak". Had Codes P0121 and P2135 due to a failed TPS on the throttle body, I was out of town hours from home/in another state when it happened. So I limped it to a Chevy Dealer. They replaced the TPS on the throttle body, Reprogrammed the ECU and Reset the engine Idle speed" Total cost of the repair was $260. I now have over 79,000 miles and been fine ever since.

There is an issue with the TPS failing, there is a new improved design that solves the issues that the old TPS had. There's a TSB on this issue where they will replace the TPS with the Newest Design, Reprogram the ECU and Preform the Throttle Relearn Procedure.

FYI!! If you replace the TPS yourself, you most likely will have issues with the engine idle speed and/or throttle control issues, the "Throttle Relearn Procedure"(idle rest) must be done with a scan tool with that capability.

You must preform an Idle reset or "Throttle Learn Reset Procedure" with a scan tool that has this capability.

I haven't heard of anyone with issues who replaced their stock 87mm throttle body with the 91mm from the vette's needing to go to the dealer to have the Throttle Learn Reset Procedure to be performed. However, I do understand why it would be necessary.
