TSB is now out. Pit5374 for headlight bulb replacement and BCM flash. Will this be better than trimmed 9011's. Does anybody know more?

My thought would be u will need to do a comparison, take it back for the update, that way u get the bcm flash for more volts, then try the 9011's after n c if there brighter then the bulb gm puts in, then report back, I'm sure someone on this website will do it, I didn't go buy the 9011's yet or I would

Spur lock was swaying toward the 9011's. Working 12's this week but will call dealer for an appointment.

I guess the answer you are looking for is how many lumens are the new bulbs rated at vs the 9011 you're referring to are.

I've got LEDs installed and plan to take them out to get the new bulbs and the BCM updated. I don't plan on even using the bulbs, just want the update in hopes it will make the LEDs even brighter than they are.

Mine were changed today. Guess I'll have to take it out tonight and evaluate update.

Cant help but wonder if the flash will eliminate the need for capacitors with hids

IMHO, the lights are significantly better than before.

High beams actually make a difference now.

I'm not ready to say they are better than my GMT900 was, but with the short evaluation so far, they seem to be close.

As the other member said 'My dealership was clueless" too. I told the service manager about the problems and not being bright enough for safe nite driving etc. He just had a big question mark on his face and said he never heard of that before. Could be maybe I'm the first one to bring this to the dealership's attention. Anyway he said they would have to look at it and check it out etc, and go from there. I told him there has already been a TSB written up about how to fix the problem. I said if you would at least look that up and read that, you would know what bulbs to order. He said he had to have a tech look at the truck. I told him it's parked right ourside. He said they had no time now, but set me up with an appointment for next Tuesday. I thought I could fill him in on whats goiing on, and maybe save myself a trip to the dealers, but guess not. I said see you Tuesday.

We'll see what happens.

My dealer has the new bulbs on order, and they did the BCM flash already. They still have my truck because they are looking at a few other thins, but I am definitely looking forward to an increase in light output.

It is not a tsb. He needs to look it up via the new document# 4109395, not the pit#. Best thing is to have a hard copy when you show up.

Thanks for the info exslider. I'll try to have a hard copy or at least the doc number to give them when I go there on Tuesday.
