Would somebody be willing to take a before and after shot prior to going in for replacements, then after they get the new ones? I do not think my lights are terrible but more light can never hurt.

There is another thread with comparison shots from a member before and after the new bulbs and BCM flash. Its pretty significant a difference. Sorry I am on mobile, or otherwise I would link the thread.

Wonder if the before pictures were 9012's(stock) or replacement 9011's which are 10 watts more?

Posted

A GM dealer wouldn't put in 9011 which was designed to NOT fit into 9012 housing.

Right, but when I had the 9012's in I could not see rural areas.9011's made a big difference,

Took truck in this AM for the headlight tsb. They checked it out and said my vehicle was definatly one of the ones affected DUH.... I knew that...why do they thing I brougt it in there for?

Anyway, they said they would re-program the BCM and install the new bulbs, when they come it. Hopefully they will call me in a few days. We'll see. I'm optomistic I'll see an improvement, just as others have said after they had the mod done on their trucks.

Called dealer today to check on status of bulbs. Could not find record of bulbs ordered? Once they got your money I guess they are done with you! Won't say what I thinking.

Had this improvement done today at the dealer. Ordered bulbs a couple weeks ago and they flashed the BCM and replaced bulbs, as well as 4 recalls that were outstanding. Half way home as it became dark, the passenger side shown left across the drivers side into oncoming lane. The "veteran" mechanic (so I was told that did the work) must not have seated the passenger side build properly, if that's possible. They are obviously considerably brighter than stock but with what appeared to be such poor alignment it was hard to see much in the way of improvement. I'll have to pull that side apart and check the bulb.........never ends.
