BEST RIDING 33 TO 35 INCH AT TIRE

Ok I have a 4 inch BDS lift and Toyo Open Country AT2's 295/60/r20. The truck I have is a 2014 Silverado LTZ crew cab with the 6.2 and 3.73 rear end. The reason I am posting is because I think you tires ride like crap. They are very hard. Now in fairness they are a tire that can run up to 80psi, so they have a high load capacity. That's my fault, I should have started with a different tire. Also I don't run 80 psi, I am running under 40. I still think they ride very ruff. So does anyone have any experience or opinions on a good riding AT tire. I still want a 33 to 35 inch tire and I don't want MT's. I just want one that rides well. I know that's asking for a lot. I just thought some of you with lifted vehicle might have some good experience. hank you for taking the time to reply to this.

I've got Cooper AT3's 275/60/20 on my '14 with a 2" level. They fit well and ride nice. They go down the road well and are really quite for an AT. I only have 5k on them, but I'm very happy with them so far.

stock wheels? What is the actual height of the tires mounted? Have you measured?

If you don't mind downsizing a tad, Nitto makes the Terra Grappler G2 in a 305-55-20XL which is a 4 ply tire with load rathing higher than P instead of the 10 ply tire you have now - should ride quite a bit better.

First off, please don't take my post the wrong way. I would have to say that if you don't like the way the Toyo AT II rides then you are pretty picky when it comes to tires. With that being said you are going to want to find a set of AT tires that 3 or 4 ply and have a fairly mild tread pattern like the AT 2. May be a little tough since most 33"-35" tires are LT rated. But as hotrodz mentioned the new Terra Grappler G2 would be a good choice since its only 4 ply and a softer rubber. Not to sure about the KO2 as the size you want will be an LT tire and I would guess that will be 6+ ply then.

Yes, stock wheels, have not measured actual height.

Thanks for the replies. I have thought about the G2. It's just hard because I don't know if a 33 would look funny with a 4 inch lift.

Changing to a smaller wheel will make it ride smoother, assuming the same O.D. of the tire is maintained. Personally, I'd look at whether your shocks are the cause of your issue.

Someone must have pics of 33's on a 4" lift to help....

Here's a picture of my 2012 Denali with 33's and a 4" CST Suspension lift.
