2001 Silverado Transmission problems

Jaroas

Question

I have a 2001 silverado, CEL came on, then at the next red light the tranny slipped out of gear and would not go into any gear. Let it set @ 15 minutes, restarted and worked fine or a few minutes then started slipping again. At stop sign could feel a pulsing in the transmission. Set code P1870. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Check the oil level and condition , 1870 is not a good code , sorry ,,shop time who has a scanner and a tech that can follow a code to THE END

Nothing you can do except check the oil I'm afraid , changing the filter does not repair a mechanical transmission concern .... Again sorry , decision time for the 14 year old truck
