gms24, how much (ballpark) for you to put the Xenon 4300 degF bulbs w/kits in? Also..what is the best option on the fog light bulbs? I have a 2015 Sierra Denali w/6.2. Thank you in advance, :driving:

Morimoto XB LED fog lights from The Retrofit Source also get my vote. Bought them on last group buy set up by Tim and they work great. Retrofit Source has a 4th of July sale going on thru the 5th.

I have had their GMC Sierra spec Morimoto HID kit for 2 years plus and the only issue I had with the bulbs was resolved promptly under warranty. Great product and service from The Retrofit Source.

My recommendation is buy these and never worry about poor light output again.

I third the Morimoto GM spec fog lights and the TRS kit for HID. Took me about 2 hours to install everything and no issues.

Wanted to mention that in my prior post about adding the Xenon Bulbs, they are about 30% lower wattage for same brightness, and take about 100 hours to fully "settle in"--perhaps true color and brightness. Best thing is that they have worked reliably for about 90 hours now (it takes a lot of driving with headlights on to get 100 hours in).

Hi Cheney4:

Bulbs, and modules were just shy of $200 I recall. I also decided to buy the plastic OEM headlight covers to bore holes in for grommets. Thinking if GM ever did it right by us to correctly fix this poor design, I could put the originals back in. This is all in the writeup I gave Xenon Depot. Good luck!

It been a year since having the TSB BCM/bulb upgrade. 364 days and the driver side burns out.  Not covered due to mileage over the 12,000mi/12mo. warranty.  Paid $40 while at the dealer to replace(thinking it would be covered). Funny, under warranty, the bulb was $15 yet for Joe customer $23.68.

Now a month later, the other bulb goes out.  A year lifespan is not acceptable.  Is there a better longer lasting replacement or is this the price we pay for increased light output by bumping the voltage?

I just installed the Morimoto 50wat kit in my 2014 and properly adjusted them against the garage door.

What a difference! Its def worth it. I got the 5500k bulb and its a nice white light. Took me about 4 hours to install, most of that was planning on how to route and where to mount things.

High beams are amazingly long and bright when you need them. Picture is of low beams only, no fogs.

Did LED headlamps in mine. It is pretty easy no extra wiring like a relay harness with HIDs. However they do have an inline LED driver (similar to a ballast in that it maintains a constant flow) however these should not have to be wired to up a separate power source like in most HID kits. Mine were for the most part plug and play.

The difference is night and day at night. Highly recommend a bulb with Philips LumiLED led chips and not Cree, worth the extra clams.

Question? So I did the Led swap instead of going through the dealer as well, plug and play and the light output was far better than stock for sure. My question to you is this: in changing the bulb to LED's when you hit the high beams beside seeing the stupid flap open did your bulb actually increase light output or get brighter? on mine the flap opens and that's about it no increase in lumens for a true high beam. and did you do the BCM thing everyone is mentioning? I love my truck but seriously am pissed about the light output for the headlights, my only other option at this point is adding a light bar which as nice as they are I don't want to screw with drilling and wiring issues.

This is a characteristic of a 9012 bulb. It is intended for high beam or shutter application. The intensity does not change.
