Level kit + 22" wheels.

Im running a 305/40/22 all terrain tires and have no lift. No issues or rubbing unless you fully lock the steering wheel to either side.

305/40r22 is smaller diameter than stock so you shouldn't rub.

305/45r22 will rub the sway bar at full lock because of the width. Anyone who thinks they don't should take a look at their sway bar for rubber marks. I have 305/45r22 and I had to run 1/4" spacers to clear the sway bar.

Im not sure if the 33x12.50R22 will rub or not on factory 22's but that is a setup I am strongly considering.

I am thinking of doing a 2.5 leveling kit, Would like to run 33x12.50R22 on my stock wheels. Any idea if this setup would rub?

I know a guy whose running a 2" Readylift level and has that tire in Toyo Open Country's. Not sure if it rubs but it looks amazing!

For those who have 33" tall tires on 22s that haven't already posted pics, can you please post pics? For those that have, more pics please.

Yeah I was hoping to get more info from this thread. I have been wanting to order 22" ck156's (and 305/45/22 G2's) for over a month, but waiting to figure out which level kit I want. I know some people are installing basic kits and moving the mag sensors, but I was also waiting to hear more about the Suspensionmaxx kit that comes with brackets made for the Denalis (or any other kits out there, but this is the only one Ive heard about). Im getting impatient... or just antsy to get new wheels/tires!

If i do a 2" level on my 2016 silverado will the 33x12.50R22's work with my stock mud flaps?

Well I'm gonna find out on Tuesday.

I just installed a 1.5 level on my 16 Denali and the 285/45 were just too thin for my liking. Wants something a little wider and taller. So now I'm going with 305/45 I'll report back on Tuesday how it fits.

On a side note I did about 1500 of hauling last night on new 285/45 and it was so much smoother then the stock good years 20 the truck came with. Crazy but people may have a point here , the stock GY aren't great tires.

About to purchase a 2017 Yukon XL Denali. Don't prefer the size, but it comes with 22" wheels (and they actually look pretty good). Stock tire is 285/45r22. I'm looking to get an all terrain -- but at 22" rim, there is a very limited selection.

Without any modification to the vehicle at all, would I have issues running a 305/45r22? I come from the Jeep world so that is my only reference point for rubbing issues - not helpful here. According to the tire size calculator, the dimension differences are copied below. The diameter of the 305 is only 2.2% taller, but the width is 7% wider -- nearly an inch. I know this post relates to trucks with a leveling kit, but assuming NO such modification and a stock rig, will I have any issues?

285/45-22 305/45-22 Difference Diameter inches (mm) 32.1 (815.3) 32.81 (833.3) 0.71 (18) 2.2% Width inches (mm) 11.22 (285) 12.01 (305) 0.79 (20) 7% Circum. inches (mm) 100.84 (2561.34) 103.07 (2617.89) 2.23 (56.55) 2.2% Sidewall Height inches (mm) 5.05 (128.25) 5.4 (137.25) 0.35 (9) 7% Revolutions per mile (km) 628.32 (390.42) 614.75 (381.99) -13.57 (-8.43) -2.2%

Really appreciate any guidance y'all can provide.

I'm running a level kit with 33x12.5x22s and rub a little bit at full lock but not to bad.

22in rims? Do you know what the offset is on yours?

Stock suspension 22's here also. Was wondering the same question about the tire size without a level kit. I just have no place to install it over winter so I'm trying to determine the change from stock to level or just go with a 4" or 6" lift.

I'm running Rough Country leveling kit with 22 inch Escalade rims mounted to Nitto Trail Grappler G2 285-50-22. No rub/no trim. Nitto also makes a 285-55-22 which is about 1.1" taller and cheaper.post-160076-148460960766_thumb.jpgpost-160076-148460961318_thumb.jpg

Would that fit without a level? Or with Bilstein 5100 (less lift than your 2.5" rough country)? You're the first I could find to have this setup (50 rather than 55).

Thanks!
