GM taking note of lifts?

Not surprising. They're trying to CYA in case an idiot customer comes in with a lift kit or leveling kit and thinks his balljoints are supposed to be replaced on warranty.

honeslty that is nothing new. They have known about lift kits and leveling kits. If you have a lift / level kit on your truck and it causes suspension premature wear on ball joints, bushings, shocks, etc then no they will not cover under the warranty. UNLESS the dealer installs the kit themselves and they give you paperwork that they will still honor the manufacturer warranty with the kit since they installed it.

I'm totally for "Pay to play", but support coming from a truck enthusiast forum that is largely based on aftermarket parts is very disappointing, just my opinion.
