I got a flier for 3 month paid and 3 free. So, 6mo for 29.97.

I don't think I'll keep it. My trial ends tomorrow I believe. I like a couple of the stations, but sound quality drives me nuts.

When they send a free offer, I'll accept again and just cancel before billing starts again.

Nope, I'm not keeping it on the Sierra and I didn't on the Silverado. They call at least 3-4 times a week trying to get me to sign up.

Never ever, ever give 'em a card number. Ask for paper billing only. If not ,you will have a hard time trying to cancel if you wanted to. But if you want to renew after the trial just do some good old fashion haggling and you can get it for nearly nothing.

I've been an OnStar customer for many years - if you ever have needed/used the service, it's well worth the $25/month or so. My 2-year old niece locked herself in my car once and her mom had taken off with my keys accidentally - the door was unlocked in minutes. I've also used roadside assistance when I ran over a box of nails that had spilled out of a truck on the highway, ended up with 3 flats. Got picked up in about 20 mins.

Were talking about OnStar right, not XM Radio?

you can use the app on your phone to unlock the doors without calling someone overseas and you can get cheaper roadside through your insurance. (gm comes with 100k roadside assistance anyways) I will never pay for onstar and esp won't be paying it for each of my gm vehicles, might consider it for one small fee for all the vehicles.

I do like the send to nav/head unit from the app but I read it goes away with the trial. Called about data for my denali and they wanted 150 bucks, laughed and said that is way over priced 10gb for 12 months $200$$

not a typo 200 bucks. Even asked if that there was a special she said no

5 year remote link app is cool though

I also have the app and already have AAA, but it's still nice if you happen to leave your phone in there (just have to use someone else's phone) and there's more than all of that to OnStar. You also have the emergency response where if you or you just witness an accident you can call for help. If you get knocked out and nobody else is around they will call for you without you saying anything. If you live in a big city then it's probably not a big deal, but I'm driving on country back roads all the time (VA back roads are the worst) so to me OnStar is a nice thing to have. To me it's nice to have for the extra security.

If you have AT&T, for only like $10/month you can add the truck to your shared data plan as another device. That's a great deal if you already have AT&T or are ready to switch.

The OnStar data prices, customer or not it doesn't matter, are absolutely outrageous and they should be knocked upside the f*cking head for even publishing those prices. It makes me angry just looking at their website.

Just to be clear, we can continue to use the On Star app that allows us to lock, unlock and start our truck after the free trial ends, correct?

X2, curious to know this... otherwise, what's the minimum plan necessary to have the Remote Link Start feature?
