If your Line-X is looking flat and dull...

If your bedliner is looking a little old and weather-beaten, try some of this Pledge Floor Care Finish. (Formerly "Future Floor Wax".)

I really liked the way the Line-X looked for the first few months I had it. Then it started getting a little dull.

Not slick to walk on at all and gave it a little refresh.

We'll see how it stands up to the Auto-Wash.

Picture shows dull side vs. Pledge side....

Looks good, I wonder how long it will last for. also wonder how well it will work on black plastic.

There are a lot of guys who use this on black/gray plastic on the Detailer's Forums. Also, the guys on the Avalance Forum use it on all that tons of plastic cladding they have on their vehicles.

I thought it would be worth a try.

(I actually read about guys using it on an entire car's paint finish! I ain't tryin' that! ) :nonod::lol:

I've read of many RV'ers using floor wax on exterior of faded RVs. It looks good for a long while (reported several years) until it builds up too thick and begins flaking off. Then, they have to strip it off and start over with application.

Your Line-X looks great in photo, just be aware of buildup as you reapply over time.

Cool I might have to try this eventually.

As for the Black plastic on my truck, I use Mother's Back to Black.

Yeah, not planning to use it too much. As it gets dull from carwashes, etc. I'll probably give it another shot, maybe every few months.

Here's another shot. Looks like it did when I picked it up from Line-X!

Curious, do you have a tonneau or other topper? Did you get the "plus" or whatever version it is that has the UV protectants?

Has anyone applied UV protection products with success?

gonna have to give this a shot. I was actually about to try taking adams polishes all purpose cleaner with their brush and scrub the line-x to see if it is just built up dirt that needs to be broken up. I mean line-x claims that their liner does not fade, obviously that is not true. however, I don't know of a liner that doesn't fade and honestly I believe this to be the best liner out there.

Never tried it on Line-X or other bedliners, but have used 303 Aerospace Protectant with great results on boats.

Did they tell you that? They were extremely up front with me their regular spray would indeed fade, and said they did have a product that would not as much, but it was IIRC a couple hundred bucks more and didn't have that in my budget at the time.

Now that being said, I'm coming up on a year with mine and it really doesn't look like it's faded at all....we'll shall see it guess. And thanks to the OP for a good tip.

I just got mine done with line-x premium...they said it has warranty against cracks, breaking, and fading...I made sure that I will bring it back if it fades...the guys said in the last 3 years that they had the shop open not a single customer came back yet...

I got my truck done with Line X and they told me it would fade over time as well, I am fine with that, it's the truck bed and really just wanted it for the protection. It was an extra $100 for the sealent they apply and just figured the $466 I was spending already was plenty.

No tonneau cover or topper. I just got the standard product. The premium was another $125. I called Line-X and they said they could still add the Premium for the same price, but I figured I'd give the Future Floor Wax a try since it's so popular on the detailing forums.

One guy on the Avalanche Forum said he applied this product to his gray cladding and it has lasted over 6 months through rain, weather and carwashes and still looks good.

I use 303 Protectant regularly on interior surfaces of all 3 of my vehicles. I wouldn't even think of using it on my Line-X for 3 reasons.

1. It is very expensive and would take a lot of product to cover the truck bed liner.

2. It easily rinses off with water.

3. I wash my truck frequently at the automatic car wash.

It would just be throwing money away.
