Toolbox Size

I'm looking at buying a new toolbox. I'm looking at A UWS Low Profile 72". Fitment guides say the 69" is compatible. Measuring the dimensions I don't see why the 72" wouldn't fit. Anyone tried the 72" in their bed?

It might be a little tight. The issue is not the total width of the box, it's the part that is between the bed rails. So you need to look at the dimension of the main part of the box and measure between the bed rails.

 

Look at the pic, look at the dimension "E", not "A".

I had a similar delima. Ended up going with a camlocker 71". It fits perfect just keep in mind wider than 69 and it's going to be wider than the cab. My 98 gmc has a 69" and it is not noticeable when looking out the mirrors.
