How do I know when my truck is loaded to full capacity?

I did a search, couldn't find anything.

 

Without weighing every item that I put in the bed, how do I know when I am "fully loaded"? I mean do you take a measurement of how far the bed drops? Is there some sort of way to tell by looking at the leaf springs? I just don't get it. What am I missing?

Put your truck on a scale. Or weight every item before you put them on there.

Normally if the rear axle bumpers are touching the axle, you're most likely over weight, especially if they are compressed

When it's sacked out put another cinder block in then your maxed lol just kidding, honestly not sure unless u weighed it or items

The only real way would to put the weight in.. go to a scale. When you reach the limit.. measure ground to the wheel well. But in my book If it's not tucking lug nuts... then your not over weight.. cheers

You have to hit the scale to know for absolute certain whether you're over or under.

 

Once you get a sense for how the truck sits when it's reasonably close to full capacity, you'll be able to eyeball it better in the future.

Keep piling on stuff, when it breaks you'll know you were at true full capacity one piece ago.
