bed rails?

Are these a thing of the past? Never see them on the 14 & newer just curious how they would look particularly on a crew cab short box

No I don't think these are a thing of the past.I just put Putco SSR bed rails on a 2015 25000HD High Country and I think the chrome looks sweeeeeet. My truck is black so any chrome looks awesome. It's all about personalizing your ride.

Kind of making a comeback around here... I've seen quite a few trucks with them lately. More so than I have in a long time.

I had a set o my 92 model and they really looked good on that truck (blue and silver two tone) but I think it is one of those things that should be left in the 90's.

I think one of the main reasons is because all the trucks are coming with black plastic bed rail caps.

I am not a fan of the plastic bed rail caps. I know they protect the paint and all that but they still look cheesy to me.

Completely agree. I would much rather have the painted metal go all the way vs the plastic. I did always get mad as could be when someone would lean on my bed rails with their elbow before. Hate how they would look rippled and dented all the way from front to back. Now not so much.
