Yeah those are the clamps I just ordered. Suppose to be the cure all for leaks at y-pipe connections. And as far as the clamp at the stock pipin, you can wiggle it around and get it to seal while it's runnin, there's enough play, then it takes another set of hands to get it to tighten down enough. But if it's just not tightenin enough, it could be worth goin another option and makin that a slip joint like the rest of the y-pipe is. The crossmember clearance isn't that and, long as it's not sittin on it. With that Borla it's to loud? That 22" magnaflow I have is about perfect IMO

Ok, leak at the ball and socket to the catback is temp fixed. I don't know how long the rtv will hold. If anyone knows where to get 3" split flanges, please let me know. I can't find them anywhere.

Now, onto the show. Today, after fixing the leaks, I have to say the truck sounds a lot better in my opinion. Last night my ears must have hurt from all the air tools. I do think it is still a tad too loud, but I can live with it for a while, so I have time to decide what my next move will be for a muffler. Probably the 22" Magnaflow (I'll have to find some clips).

Here are 3 vids, they don't do the best capturing the sound, but it's better than nothing.

Just slice 3/16th's out of the stock clamp and weld it back. Easy peezy! I have done this on two trucks I have installed catbacks on.

no pics.... but lay it on the side and cut opposite of the opened end of the clamp hacksaw cut 1/8th to 3/16th out of it and weld back together this will take up some slack and the clamp will tighten up then.

Ah, gotcha. Or maybe buy a ball clamp one size smaller, like 2.75 or 2.5? I think it needs to be narrower as well.
