Do we have a CANbus?

I am ordering the 9012 HID kit Xtreme HID from Xenon Depot. It gives the option of ordering with or without CANbus. I am not sure which applies to my 2015 Denali?

Thanks.

Are you sure we need the canbus module for lights? I thought all we need was the capacitor link. I haven't retrofitted mine yet, but I would like clarification.

I am the relay and capacitor. They work great but when I get my on star report each month, it says that my headlights need attention. Would a canbus correct that?

I ended up just getting the LED light replacements and not the HID kit. I added the fog light LEDs also instead of HIDs because I have heard of HIDs melting the fog lights. The difference was like $110 cheaper.

I have never had an issue with my headlights. I have a 2015 Denali built in July 2015. I suppose they could be brighter but it has never stood out to me that they are bad. I feel plenty safe driving at night. I just hate the ugly yellow light so I went with the LED bulbs over an HID kit So the DRLs, headlights, and fogs will all match at least.

Yes, canbus would correct that.

It's the network which all your controllers communicate through. CAN = Controller Area Network and Yes, GM uses CAN Bus and Yes, it will remove the headlight warning through OnStar.

Thank you TDT I was about to order the XD LEDs so I was just wondering if I should go with the can bus.

All vehicles are required to have CAN on the OBDII port since 2006, mandated by the government (something they did right for once).

Is this valid for 2014 Silverado as well? I wanna get an HID kit but none of my other vehicles needed error eliminators, canbus, or capacitor link
