Just heard from Fernando in the service department. They adjusted my coilovers and said I "should" get 1.75" of lift. So $1000 spent and less lift than my $26 leveling blocks. They know there is a problem and they're working on it. May be some sort of warranty repair down the road. Said they're working on a fix. Either a longer shock body or piston and they'll know in a few months.

Might be worth just asking them to trade up to the 2.5

I don't get it. I'm not bashing Fox, I have the 983-02-086 Fox 2.0 coilovers for my truck and I'm pleased with the product. However, the explanation given to TeeDub is disturbing based on the explanation given to him by Fernado. If you type in the Fox part number that I purchased, it doesn't exist on their web site. And if you look up the part number by vehicle you will be directed to the Fox 2.0 number which is what TeeDub purchased. With that said, TeeDub and I ordered from the same vendor. Their web site has two different part numbers for our trucks. One for steel control arms 983-02-086 and what TeeDub purchased for his aluminum control arms. Mine settled in at 2.75 inch lift as shipped from Fox. TeeDub truck achieved very little lift as shipped from Fox. Bottom line, I think he was given a bs answer / response from Fox. By the way, TeeDub did stated in one of his earlier post that somewhere along the way he was told GM replicated the steel control arms. So, where's that leave the consumer.

I love my Fox 2.5 coilovers with remote reservoirs but if I was having the problem you are they would be returned. Especially after they said I cant expect 1.75" when you paid for 2" of lift. Not to mentioned you also spent $1000 for that lift too.

TeeDub just found theses specs for both part numbers. Maybe this is what Fernado is speaking of!

TeeDub, any update? I also just installed 985-02-018 and have the exact issue. Only lifted the truck a 1/2" then went back to stock height after a day of driving around. Went to 4 wheel parts and made an appointment to do the adjustment, after I had the same issue with renting a spring compressor. Now after reading this, think I need to contact Fox. My truck is a 2015 Silverado, CC, w/aluminum suspension.

So I contacted Fox on Tuesday, spoke with an Alex, he mentioned they were aware of the problem but couldn't do anything till after the new year, they will be closed for two weeks, and to send them the service request form. He mentioned about hearing of the issue, prob TeeDubs's Coil-overs. I didn't like the fact that he said I would have to pay for shipping.

I emailed them the service request form today and CC'ed performancelifts.com, I bought these back in Oct, but didn't install them till Monday, I was waiting on finding a deal on wheels and tires and couldn't decide on which ones I wanted. Now the wheels and tires sit in the garage.

Anyway, performancelifts.com emailed me back asking for the part number of the coil (039-38-600), mentioned they're a 600lbs coil and I need to adjust the spring preload to archive my lift. That CC trucks are some of the heaviest trucks and expecting the same coil over to provide extly 2" of lift on every GM truck sold simply isn't realistic.

So, I'm waiting on Fox's reply and hope they pick up the tab on shipping.

I get the impression the guy at performance lifts is full of shit. Told me to adjust them on the truck (wrong) told me the same 600 (fox told me 1300) and said the same about different trucks. Also crap. Fox told me the trucks are pretty close in weight and the springs are so stiff the lift difference would be negligible.

FWIW I stayed on the phone and expressed how disappointed I was until they agreed to cover round trip shipping. I was gonna hit up performance lifts for a refund when I get them back from Fox but expect I won't get far with that, other than the fact I paid with PayPal.

Not sure why more people dont use Icon vehicle dynamics coilovers on GM's? I have them and they are great, no issues at all, and they smoke the stock Ranchos.HAd them on my last truck too.

They are 2.5's though, and cost a bit more.

Haven't had bilstein but read great reviews on them, almost went with them but wanted the "little more" lift, but so much for that! The fox'es so far ride way better then my stock ranchos, but not worth 800 with no lift.

I agree TeeDub, and I'll be on the phone after the new year expressing the same!

Got them back today. Fresh in the box, anyone want to buy them at a discount? Decided to go the other way and lower it with some 22's or 24's. Never off-roading it anyway, just like having 4x4.
