Dash Problems!

I have a Double Cab does anyone with a Double Cab have the Dash issue?

Just wondering if it's a Crew Cab issue or is it an issue on both.

IE Mexican vs US built.

It my be a issue with thier plant.

Just curious.

Why in the world would it matter what the cab configuration is?

One is built in the US the other in Mexico.

It may be a manufactruing issues releated to the plant.

That's why I asked if any double cabs have the issue.

You raise a valid point. Without knowing how the piece fits together in the dash (heard it was retained with snap clips), its hard to say if quality control at the assembly level has anything to do with it. Now, perhaps at the molding/part production level there may be quality issues, who knows. I'll let GM do the work to get to the bottom of this, I have to deal with enough of this at my own job. lol.

My regular cab had this on the passenger side. I used both hands and pressed it back down. Hasn't happened again since.

I just noticed my dashboard lifting as well as the plastic on the windshield on the outside of the truck this is so frustrating being that these trucks are brand new I only have about 3,000 miles on my truck seriously this is ruining my weekend!

The dealership put a new piece in on my truck and guess what!? Same exact thing just in a different spot! GM has no fix for this but I'm sure they are aware of it by now.

Same issue in the same spot. Passengers ask every time they get in the truck.

Hopefully GM can figure it out before the warranty runs out, I don't feel like shelling out cash for a new dash

I'm not sure what is different but my 2014 didn't have the problem but I periodically notice it (in colder temps) on my 2016.

I don't know of any friends/family having issues with their dashes on their brand new cars/trucks. The dashes which also consist of plastic components that endure the same brutal changes in temperatures and direct sunlight. GM should be held responsible, not me. Why would I buy a dash cover to cover up their flaw?

Well actually...

2014 double cab here. Mine isn't warped but it rattles from time to time.
