I do not have any new news to pass on to you other than it has made it to phase 3400. I know that means nothing to you but to me it tells me the next phase is for it to be shipped.

From another forum:

http://coloradofans.com/forums/114-2nd-gen-chevrolet-colorado-forum-2015-gmc-canyon-forum/195730-pridcution-delivery-time-2.html

"The order is in the final stages of pre-production now, the 3400 Broadcast phase, in which it has been broadcast to the factory for production, A TPW has not been posted, however, speaking honestly, it's unlikely that it will be posted once it's entered the 3400 phases. Typically, what you see at this point is the vehicle will move right into production, and the next update should be that the vehicle has finished production. I'd expect production to be completed within the next couple of weeks, possibly even this week. I'd advise you check back toward the end of each week for the next few weeks, and hopefully we should see production has completed and provide you with your VIN

This sort of thing does happen pretty regularly. Looking at the order itself, it looks like it's going to be produced in a batch, so it's not uncommon for the batch to be assigned a TPW (which, unfortunately, I can't check), but it doesn't post for each individual vehicle. Still, you're in the final stages now, so it's just a matter of time before it's all ready for you."

My truck was built on the 19th. Now I'm waiting for it to ship. Does anyone know how quickly they ship a truck once it has been built?

Well I ordered my truck on on January 19th and it was built on February 18th and went into shipped status either that same day or the following day as I got my email from Chevrolet customer service that it has shipped on 2-19. My last truck I ordered my current one which was shipped via rail took 2-2.5 weeks to get to Iowa.

Your build was faster than mine. I ordered my truck on Dec 18th and it took until last Friday to get built.

Mine was built January 25th, and arrived February 19th.

I hope that isn't the case with my truck.

Well my truck didn't come equipped right either so they are trying to dealer trade it for the correct truck. They ordered it for me before they told me which didn't anger me since they knew I was looking for one since we couldn't dealer trade on a 15. However the owner forgot to mark the max tow option. I sincerely hope your experience is better than mine.

You ordered a crew cab as well so it is coming from Mexico same as mine, heck they could be on the same train, so it might either be by train or boat, I know 2 years ago the east coast orders were being shipped by boat, not sure if that is the case today, but either way I wouldn't be surprised if it was 3-4 weeks shipping time. Like I said before my last order took 2 weeks, shipped 2-5-2014 and delivered to the dealer on 2-19-2014, and that was to Iowa, I see your in NC so it might be around another week.

I triple checked my own build sheet against what my salesman entered in just so something like this wouldn't happen. This way if something was forgotten, I couldn't blame them for a mistake. I always have a hard time relying on people..

I would've went over everything, but I wasn't there when it was ordered, and by the time they told me it probably would've been too late to change it (I've never ordered a vehicle so I'm unfamiliar with the process.) They should be able to find me another, if not I'm happy with what I already have.

It was my first time as well and I was worried sick about not getting something I wanted! LOL

You know the sad thing is on 3 seperate occasions I had them check on it, and they said it was listed on the order sheet. Either they screwed up, and lied, or somehow GM messed it up. Either way if they find another one I better get a heck of a deal lol. I hope you really enjoy your new ride!

Salesman just emailed me.

"Truck is on a train on the way here. Was shipped Sunday by railcar. Last point of contact was in Torreon Mexico this morning. Estimated arrival date is 3/5/16 to our rail yard in Winston Salem."

Congrats on the order!

I was very close to pulling the trigger on ordering a 2016 SLE All Terrain but decided not to. I wanted the All Terrain package in the SLE because I absolutely did not want leather. Apparently this isn't a combination they have ever ordered/sold so they didn't stock them and no one in the country had one in stock. I also didn't like that they wouldn't talk pricing until the truck arrived. All they would tell me was the MSRP was $54,000. Not knowing what rebates would be in effect at the time of delivery bothered me because I didn't want to take that financial risk. Instead I went to their sister dealership the following weekend and bought a 2016 Silverado they had on the lot with everything I wanted minus the on board nav. It has on star nav but after thinking about it, I have a portable gps I can use instead. I prefer the look and styling of the Sierra's over the Silverado's but couldn't be happier with my truck.

Again, congrats! Better post a pictures when it comes in!
