I had mine done about a month ago. New radiator thermostat and housing. Dealer had no clue about service bulletin. They called me and said they found bulletin and did what I told them. (Thanks to this site)

My truck had the same issue and had replaced the radiator and it was still leaking, now they want $300 to finally fix a leaking radiator heater hose since it's not covered under the extended warranty.

AC compressor gone as well, so make sure you get these items fixed or replaced before your warranty runs out. These two items alone WILL eventually fail and I think the radiator and labor is over $2k.

AC compressor is covered under the warranty but I will have to wait 2-3 weeks for a "redesigned" part to arrive. This truck is gone the minute I get it back. I have to cut my losses before it really start to hurt. I hope the trans doesn't fail me before I sell this POS.

Sorry for venting...just so tired of all the issues

Sell your truck while your truck still has some value left in it.

Same issue as the rest, just bought my 2015 silverado into the shop yesterday for low coolant, smell of coolant coming from the front. They just called me and its out of warranty. Truck is at 45,100 miles. They want to charge me $975 for just the new radiator with labor and tax not included yet.

Edit: my dealer is telling me pretty much that im a liar and making things up on this TSB and that there is no such thing for this truck.

Edit #2: spoke to the manager and told him what happen ans the run down of the issue, he called me back 15mins after hanging up and found the tsb and said its 110% under the powertrain warranty and thermostat and radiator are being replaced

You're braver than I am Jim. Once I get burned, I kinda hold a grudge.... lol.

$8000.00 trade in allowance from GM, 1500.00 private offer, 3000.00 old age unit cash (dealers could use it on any vehicle they chose) and $1250.00 bonus cash from my GM credit card made it hard not to go with another Chevy. I had my doubts, but no way I was going to get this kind of deal with another brand.

Local GM dealer has been good to me, so long as they recognize the problems and repair it for free, i'm good. We have a fleet of over a hundred diesel Fords (and hundreds non diesel) where I work. lots of down time to repair..over and over again. They are the cheaper truck to buy for a fleet, but cost more in the long run. Dealer cannot fix the 6.7 properly and they usually blow up again, took them three tries to fix one F450, they're too complex and the old experienced techs have retired. We are now trying out the Ram 5500 cummins. Unfortunately GM doesn't sell a truck that suits our needs. I can get an amazing deal on an F150 (fleet pricing)... I still wont do it.

Sorry a little off topic. Fix my radiator GM, keep me happy. hopefully the problems taper off. I do like the truck.

You could try showing your dealer this letter about the defective radiator.

I get that this is a little old.  I'm way out of my warranty on my 15 Yukon Denali.  Is there a good aftermarket radiator or do I just go with the ACD?  This 15 Yukon has been the most costly car I've ever driven in my life!

Aside from the bad '14- Late '15 GM truck and full size Suv Radiators, prepare to replace your A/C Condenser as well. :(

They are also defective in the same models

This will definitely be my last GM.  I get that all cars have issues. I've just never had a vehicle with so many so quick and no help or willingness from the manufacturer.

I was hoping to find an all aluminum radiator.

I did give then a call. It does fit. When they previously had it listed, it was not listed for a Tahoe/Yukon/suburban/Escalade.

Did some searching and have not found much feedback on the Mishimoto radiator.

I did DM someone who installed one, no reply.

Any other members who have installed it?
Any feedback?

Install seems pretty straight forward with no need for front end dissassembly

    • Hey everyone,   For anyone looking at roof-mounted lighting for the Hummer EV, we wanted to share our M&R Automotive 50" PRO Roof Light Bar for the 2022+ GMC Hummer EV.   The curved 50" bar sits close to the windshield rather than sticking way up above the roofline. The mounting position is designed to keep the setup relatively streamlined while minimizing wind noise and maintaining full use of the factory windshield wipers.   A few details:   50" curved PRO light bar Fits 2022–2026 GMC Hummer EV Spot + driving beam pattern TIR optics White main beam Amber DRL backglow Approximately 15,410 measured lumens through the lens Mounts to factory accessory locations No cutting or drilling required Wiring runs down the A-pillar toward the AUX connections Designed to minimize wind noise Lifetime warranty Off-road use only     The 50" is an interesting middle ground for anyone who wants the visibility and mounting position of a roof bar without stepping all the way up to the larger 60" setup. For the Hummer EV owners here, would you go with the 50" for the lower-profile look or step up to the full 60"?
    • My son got a hatchback withe the aero package for like 17k new. Great little car with amazing MPH
    • Yeah, I've given up years ago with that! I was able to load a few when I first joined the site sometime around '07. Then after maybe 20 pics, it said I exceeded the limit. Now every pic I try to post says I've "exceeded 1mb".   ONE MB??? That's Windows 95 ******, lol!!
    • I get the same results with pictures. Then I figure it out. Then I forget. Screw it.
    • I guess I'm the only one on this forum who can't get effing pics to load here! Do you have to resize them to post, or am I just blocked from uploads?   I have the same luck with automotive electronics ... but this is the ONLY site on the net that I have this problem!   I'd post pics of what I'm working on ... but I CAN'T! 🤬       Just fabbed up the kickdown cable (had to extend the cable mount WAAAY out from the throttle shaft to get a full pull), and parts arrived for the fuel lines on the 940 carb conversion project. Should be able to drive this thing by the end of the day. If not for work, I'd have had this thing done SIX weeks ago.   Got the jetting sorted out last week. Had a real bad tip-in bog that I couldn't seem to correct. Friggin float height was over 11mm too HIGH! eBay purchase, so no wonder everything is screwed up right out of the box! I ended up with a larger dual-squirt accelerator pump jet anyway instead of the single. Also moved the 70 primary idle jet (4 sizes too big out of the box) to the secondary idle circuit, and installed a 57 in the primary. Runs great on the fuel bottle!    Still using the computer for ignition. Going to drive it first and see if I want to go through the project of installing an intermediate shaft with a distributor drive gear, so I can install a block-mounted distributor and run points, 100% computer free. I should do that anyway just from a simplicity / reliability / tunability standpoint. The electronics left me stranded last year a couple times! I can't tweak the timing to my liking right now because of the computer. Tried twisting the cam-driven distributor already ... and the damned thing just reverts back to where it was! That's infuriating. But if it runs well enough I might save that for next season.   Just driving it in and out of the shop to work on other projects, it feels 1,000% more responsive with the carburetor. Also fires MUCH faster when cranking. Can't wait to drive it and see if I got more than 114 ponies, lolol.   Hopefully these don't go 404 like the last post ... https://postimg.cc/gallery/MjhrmZS   Seems like that site went back to dial-up internet! Maybe they'll fix that some day ...
