Thank you for your input. I've obtained a spec on the truck and although it is rather broad, my truck's reading fall inside. The dealer didn't attempt to improve it, I'm picking it up today and will pay a private shop to make it as close to the preferred settings as they can get it.

That's what I would do if I was looking to improve it. It's not always the dealers fault either, as their hands may be tied if gm will not reimburse them for an alignment because nothing is technically out of spec, as unfair as that may seem.

Ok, I picked up the truck today and it still pulls to the left. I checked it with the road crown and even in the rightmost edge of the crowning roadway it pulls a bit. Here are the readings from the dealer, all in spec. Also, let me know your thoughts on them using a Double Cab instead of a Crew Cab for the alignment setup. post-152796-0-33776300-1452952349_thumb.jpeg

Cab, bed, and wheelbase length doesn't make a difference, the spec tolerances are all the same.

Generally, with everything being equal, the vehicle will pull towards the side with the more positive camber- in your case, the left. .5 degrees isn't severe enough to create a large pull, but may notice a slight. I would take it to a good tire/truck shop and have them even out that camber and see where that gets you.

Also, as a cheap check before you have the alignment done, you could swap front left and right tires and see if the pull changes. If it does, then you have a bad tire.

Thanks everyone. I brought it to a locally recommended alingment shop and their machine read the thrust angle at .1, they claim the dealer's setup may have been poor. Anyway, this difference in setup put the front right tire alignment out of spec, that correction eliminated the pull and $140 from my wallet that should be a GMC warrentee charge. Not happy about the thrust angle but am glad to know it is safe and drives straight.

Thanks again everyone.

Ok, just got an update. GM completed their analysis, this is cut from the email they sent

"we have completed the analysis of your vehicles alignment, suspention, tires and wheel base. Everything reguarding all of these was found to be well within factory Specs."

Any alignment techs out there agree? Look at the report on the 1st page. I guess I will be picking it up Saturday and bringing it to a private shop to have GM's shotty work corrected at my expense. I'll be sure to post the outcome.

I could have told you that, that's the only answer GM ever has, "Operating as designed"
