What are some of the payloads you guys with 2500's are getting?

On average I'm seeing 2100-2300 a few around 2650 and even a handful at 2800. I cant see much of a difference to the neked eye of what is extra on the 2500hd that is getting close to 3k payload. Trims are the same engine and trans as well

Sounds awfully low. What cab config and drive train are you looking for specifically?

 

My regular cab Z71 6.0 with 17" wheels is somewhere between 3200-3300lbs payload on the door tag. Ones with 18" wheels are 3300-3500lbs payload. I'll try and check a couple trucks on the lot if I get a chance.

Crew cab 4x4. Work the line at Flint truck.

My new CC gasser, Z71 is just under 2700 pounds.

 

Those lower numbers are likely for diesels.

No,not really. Your's is the odd where is it higher..watching them roll down the final line now. Other than tires I cannot tell a difference of why most average 2100-2300 and just a few are over 2500. Same truck same trime two different payloads

I looked at several 2500s, both 2015 and 2016, all gassers, all CC 4x4s, all above 2600 pounds. So I don't think mine is an odd one.

Just had two gmc 2500 denali diesel roll down the line in a row 2175 for the first and 2225 for the second...

Just took a peek at my door sticker - right under 2300. 2015 crew cab, standard bed, duramax, 4x4.

The 2 posts above are mentioning diesels. Diesels are heavier, thereby lowering the payload. I really think the low numbers you were initially discussing are for diesels.

 

Like I said, I looked at several gassers, in their heaviest configurations (crew cabs, 4wd) and all were above those figures.

Just thought of something else, each truck I looked at had the snowplow prep package. Wonder if that makes a difference on the GMs. I know it makes a difference on the F250s.

On two identically equipped trucks, the diesel has about 200-300 lbs more payload capacity.

I will write down what I see rolling down the line today, granted I dont see what all is ordered that dealer will install.
