2016 Siverado Rear Heat/Cool?

Nope, you're not the only one. But, a little advice; stop that yelling. Just be grateful you got your own vents and she her's and suck it up .

"On 1500's tow mirrors are available on WT,LS, Custom, LT and LTZ, but not on High Country.

On some trims they are only available as part of a package."

Yeah.... Apparently they're "coming" on the High Country. Concerning the other trims, I'll take you word for it as I'm too lazy to research. However, I have yet to see a single 1500 of any stripe with tows. Just saying

Nope, you're not the only one. But, a little advice; stop that yelling. Just be grateful you got your own vents and she her's and suck it up .

I didn't think my post needed to specify given the title, but I mostly referring to the people in the back having no vents. ie the kids or friends complaining it is hot, who should be grateful also? Believe it or not (including all the excuse makers for no back vents) when people close their vents on their side or even both it messes with the temps in the cabin and the people who sit in the back especially with no back vents.

Just like if you put your face right next to the house window ac having it blow right in your eyes you will be cold but the guy sitting across the room could be warm. You don't turn the ac off you, which was the point of my post. She doesn't like having cold air blow on her and closes the vents. This has a greater affect due to no back vents. So now she directs the air towards the back (mostly) and is still cold.

But you are correct yelling was the wrong word (at least after the first time ) but she is trained up. We were at the lake 90-95 and were getting the kids in the truck. First thing she did was close the vents with the cabin hot as shit. If her 6 year old clone is saying it is hot then it is really hot. Probably the worst time I was driving in traffic sweating in my old 04 Denali couldn't figure out why it was so hot, took me a min but realized half the vents were closed. At least the hvac is way better in my newer truck.

I joke with her and say you are only comfortable when you are on fire

Lol! Understand! And, I was joking as well, sorta. My wife and I are now empty nesters after having raised three daughters. So, I know about women an the temp issue. And, I know we guys can't win on this. Although I drive a 2015 LTZ CC, about the only time I have a passenger is when we go to church Sunday mornings. And as your wife, the first thing my wife does is shut off the vents on her side - if it's warm outside. Otherwise, I go outside and turn on the heat, including the passenger seat (remote start won't suffice ). anyway, happy wife, happy life !

All the NHT trucks left the factory with them.

yes why should anyone want some luxury features in a 50k+ luxury truck or even some standard features, it is a just a truck.... Why don't you (and her) take the system out of 'sync' mode?

The situation you describe is the reason why there is a 'Dual Automatic Climate Control System' -- so temps can be set separately for driver/passenger.

In our case the most common issue is one person has sun on them and the other in the shade. We often run the system 'unsynced' in both winter and summer.

Why don't you (and her) take the system out of 'sync' mode?

The situation you describe is the reason why there is a 'Dual Automatic Climate Control System' -- so temps can be set separately for driver/passenger.

In our case the most common issue is one person has sun on them and the other in the shade. We often run the system 'unsynced' in both winter and summer.

We do this for sure, but you don't feel the fire coming from your wifes side because hers is on 90 while you are upper 60s even on cold days? I would guess most men turn it up to get the cabin warm and then turn it down to 70 or below Still messes with the temps in the cabin.

Most I ever move mine is a degree or two.

The times when not running them synced, we seem to always have them within a few degrees of each other.

And flat floor."

And, 36 gal gas tank option like Ford offers.

And, towing mirrors option on models below High Country such as LT, LTZ.

And, Gear Display next to the V-8/V-4 Display. Would be beneficial when towing to know what gear you're in.

That more than they can possibly handle. How about having the tailgate lock with the doors too!

Sometimes I wonder what they were thinking when they design cars and trucks. Honestly they could package all this up under the "we are cutting corners" package and charge a few hundred and people would probably buy it.

Yep, my 2015 LTZ's tailgate is key'ed to match the doors and ignition. But, the tailgate operates manual only. "I think" the above poster was referring to the power lock and remote feature.

About the above suggestions; I would certainly be willing to pay for them as I'm a strong proponent of the free enterprise system. im wondering about the flat floor in the back seat area suggestion though. It would be ok with me as long as the cab height doesn't have to be raised to accommodate drive shaft clearance. One reason I prefer the GM twins is that the cab entrance is a little bit lower than Ford and Ram and I get get in the cab without stepping up on the running board. Got one artificial knee and getting old, sigh ....

Thanks. Obviously, did not know that . Here in the DFW area tail gates and rear suv seats are hot commodities with the local grab-and-run crowd. One Saturday night about a month ago the were six tail gates stolen. Fortunately, most, maybe all were Fords, lol
