Thanks. Obviously, did not know that . Here in the DFW area tail gates and rear suv seats are hot commodities with the local grab-and-run crowd. One Saturday night about a month ago the were six tail gates stolen. Fortunately, most, maybe all were Fords, lol

Add the Pop n' Lock kit and your tailgate will lock with the doors. There's a thread in the accessories sub forum, and member Fondupot has a YouTube video on it.

As someone who lives in Phoenix Arizona, the long "summer" months of April thru Oct can be really hot. You guys are correct about the vents below but they are basically worthless for cool air... And yes you can adjust front vents to blow toward back, but that takes away from being cooled off in front. After awhile, depending on outside temperature, the cabin will cool off, but if vents don't blow on you you will start to get warm pretty fast. Even my older 2004 extended cab has vents in the middle console for the rear. Maybe rest of country doesn't need these rear vents, but I invite 4 engineers to visit Phoenix June-Sept and tell us the vents should not be there.... I bet they would add them the next possible revision for sure, GUARANTIED!!!!

Starting to get warm here in so cal and my wife and new born in back of my truck with no amenities is a joke. I'm still astonished that gm cheaped out. Even work truck ram and f150 have vents in back. In recent motor trend they stated the lack of rear amenities was terrible. The toe vents are comical at best. I want the flat floor rear , rear vents and also a actual plug in the back instead of the cig lighter.

Gm is always dead last in innovations.

I find GM to produce great products and don't believe they are "dead last in innovations". I find the heating and cooling system to work well in the crew cab and can easily achieve a comfortable temperature throughout the cab. I would love to have the roof vents and DVD found in the backseat area of the Yukon XL but I didn't buy a Yukon. It is obvious GM has the technology to do this and as suggested may do so in the future if there is the demand.

My 2002 Avalanche had this - but was a Tahoe/Suburban based platform. A shame they didn't bring it to the trucks.

You loose massive cooling and air velocity, it drops when rerouting the air through the console turns and such air vents tubes, and they have always been worthless on all the vehicles I have ever been in Ford, Dodge, Mercedes Benz, BMW, GM etc..... . just like the rear foot vents GM should have removed those as well.

Personally it was a smart move to remove center console air vents, your front vents can cool the entire cabin quicker, now if they offered rear air in the head liner instead of sunroof with a 2nd fan and evap, then that's a much better option.

The SUV's with air in the headliner, the 2nd air fan and evap.... is required, not sure where GM can put that unit in a truck.

Exactly what I keep saying - unless there's a second blower and cooling unit, rear vents are LESS efficient.
