2016 Siverado Rear Heat/Cool?

Is there rear heat/cool ducts to the rear (back seat) on the 2016 Silverado 1500 Crew Cabs?

No. There are some useless toe vents for the heater but they do nothing of real value.

I have rear seat passengers all the time. My boys, daughter-in-laws, grandkids. I always ask them if the temp is ok... even on the hottest or coldest days, they are always comfortable. GM has always had very efficient HVAC systems, and this truck is no exception. I don't see the need. Tahoe and Suburban need them for the massive amount of air volume in the back; crew cab, not so much.

My 3 year old boy and dog do sit back there and I DO care...

I used to think it was a problem, but my kids are always comfortable. I think not having rear heated, and cooled seats are a bigger issue for me.

Buddy of mine bought a ford over a Denali just because of the flat floor. It is a nice feature

The back seats on these trucks are lacking in features IMO. Look at the Denali. Gm's luxury truck and all the back people get is the same 12v plug and a couple of holes in the console.

 

Even the rear door panels aren't padded like the front, no chrome on the speakers, etc.

I had a 2005 Silverado 1500HD CC that had back seat vents mounted in the backside of the console. Actually, I was surprised that my 2015 CC LTZ 4x4 does not have them. Would have been a nice touch for a truck with MSRP of $53k. However, as others above have stated, my kiddos have never complained about the temp. I just aim the center vents to blow straight back and everybody's fine.

My front vents have always had more than enough heating/cooling power for the entire crew cab. Never had complaints. I often ask out of courtesy, and still haven't heard any sort of complaint. Even on hot summer days in Texas, it only takes a couple minutes to cool down the entire cab. Rear vents seem cool and all. But quite unnecessary. My real complaint about the rear seating are the seats themselves!

Hell, my 2001 GMC has vents for the rear seating in the console. I guess they saved 4 bucks by not having to run the ducts and add the vents. They could have made it a $200-$300 option and I would have not thought twice about it.

My colorado didnt have any and my silverado is a double cab so i think that is why im not seeing it like you guys with crew cabs. It does not take my truck long to warm up the interior. But that is what the remote start is for.

 

My colorado is a crew cab but is not tge same intirrior cabin volume as a crew cab silverado i know this.... But hey... I use the back as a place to put my stuff..... Almost bought a single cab but double was cheaper..... Thanks GM..... Lol
