It is a crew cab..... If you want rear climate control get a tahoe.

I never understood this line of thinking. Many of us with crew cabs often have...a crew! Whether it's grown adults or young kids, shouldn't they expect comfort? A legitimate argument can be made that the front vents are sufficient, but why is having rear passengers considered taboo by so many people? Yeah, I haul my family around all the time, but quite often, it's with a half ton of drywall or lumber in the bed. Or a yard and a half of mulch, or compost. I can't do that very easily in a Tahoe.

I apologize if you understood it that way..... I was talking about the climate control specifically. When it comes to hauling people.... Thats what it is for and why most buy double and crew cabs. I just so happened to put stuff back there that i want out of the cold/elements since i travle alone. I do have friends that pile in and they seem comfortable in th back of the double cab..... But like i said.. I dnt sit back there so i dnt care lol

Hauling people, gear, trailers and generally all our crap is why we buy trucks.

I just dont see the rear climate thing as a big deal. But that's me, obviously others feel differently.

Is there rear heat/cool ducts to the rear (back seat) on the 2016 Silverado 1500 Crew Cabs?

Yes, there is an under seat duct.

(at least in my SLT )

Don't know it it is a supply or return air duct.

Yes, just like in the 2015's. They're beneath the seats and work fine.

I haven't had any complaints from rear passengers -- the floor vents seem to work fine. And for A/C cold air drops so using the front dash vents usually gets plenty back to them.

As for the flat floor, the one on my 2015 isn't that bad. No it's not completely flat but it's pretty close. What I would rather have is stowage boxes below the floor similar to the Dodge minivans so that I can keep some tarps/bungees/ratchet straps stored there and still have a flat load floor.

"I bet 20 forum bucks GM's next bodystyle has rear console vents.

And heated rear seats

And flat floor."

And, 36 gal gas tank option like Ford offers.

And, towing mirrors option on models below High Country such as LT, LTZ.

And, Gear Display next to the V-8/V-4 Display. Would be beneficial when towing to know what gear you're in.

"No. There are some useless toe vents for the heater but they do nothing of real value."

I have a 2015 LTZ and was not aware of the toe vents till I read the above post. Curiosity got the best of me and so I checked it out. Sure enough, there's one under each front seat. Then, my curiosity still at work, I wanted to see how strong the air flow was and turned the fan wide open. And, there was zero flow from the toe vents. I had the air-flow controls set for the dash vents only. So, tried the floor vent only and got pretty good flow from the toe vents and the same from the dash/floor combo and the defrost/floor combo. But, got zero flow when setting was on Auto. So, to sum up; toe vent flow is decent when using any duct setting other than Auto or Dash Vents only. Live and learn I suppose :)

They'll work on Auto when needed, just not constantly.

Thanks. I went to the trouble of looking for this in the manual and its there. Guess the toe vents must source its air flow from the floor vent. Therefore when the floor vent duct is closed no air blows from the toe vents either. Pretty soon GM is going to have to offer a new vehicle training class. I'm still trying to figure out all the bells and whistles in the Infotainment Center. Oh, did I mention that I'm old? Could that be the problem? I'm thinking so

On 1500's tow mirrors are available on WT,LS, Custom, LT and LTZ, but not on High Country.

On some trims they are only available as part of a package.

On Sierra they can be had on all trims except Denali.

And vibrating seats at the touch of the switch for those who have become a custom to the feeling. :rollin:

yes why should anyone want some luxury features in a 50k+ luxury truck or even some standard features, it is a just a truck.... I must be the only one who's wife who is always cold and wants to turn her temps up or close her side of the vents. Nothing worse then having your side on low while the passenger is on 70 haha. She "hates get blown on" so they get closed, I have to yell at her to at least wait for the cab to cool down
