I know there are at least a few out there using this Android app. Curious if anyone has figured out how to get it to read the oil pressure? Also the gear one has no output. Anyone figure out if custom pid's needs to be used? Any other sensors people are using that they find useful? I use it mostly for fun. I use the ethanol sensor to track mpg difference with different percentages. Found out at around 30-40% my mpg can be real close to what I get with regular 87. The temp sensors are pretty nice to have when towing. Thanks.

Did you try doing a full scan of PIDs? I never used it with this truck yet but have a 6 hr drive tomorrow, I'm gonna finally set it up while my dad drives

Interesting stuff. So how is the app reading the truck?

You buy a OBD port scanner dongle thing and it reads all the computer stats and sends it to your phone or tablet over Bluetooth. I bought the dongle for $20 on Amazon.

You can also read and clear engine codes!

I've had an OBDII bluetooth dongle for a little over a year, and the Torgue app for most of that time, but I haven't had a chance to give them proper attention. I originally bought it for my '02 Silverado, but now it's in the Denali. I know there is a forum dedicated to the app, but I'm interested to hear from some fellow GM owners and get some tips for how to get the most out of the app.

Probably not, I'm not exactly sure what you mean by full scan of PID's.

Let us know how your set up goes today.

I bought a BT OBD2 dongle for my M3 to clear some codes and played with the torque app. It was actually pretty cool. Looks like there's a lot more stuff to play with on new cars. Oil temp, ethanol % and cat temps are pretty cool.

Man damn iphone doesn't have it lol. Well according to BAFX they only work on android for their products. I guess I could always hook it up to my laptop..

I can't find the gear display, what parameter are you reading that from?.

In the list of sensors you choose from it's called "current gear". Also in the settings under "manage extra pids/sensors", then touch the little android menu dots and you'll see "add predefined set". I choose the one for GM and it should add more in.

Thanks!. did not knew about that extra pid/sensors menu. just recently started playing with the app, it seems to give enough information to warrant doing what grampadirt did

Glad this all came up, I've had one of the Bluetooth adapters for a bit now but haven't hooked it up yet. Was wondering where some of the stuff was that I was told it had. Thanks guys haha
