Leveled my truck

It looks a little nose high in the picture. Does it look like that in person? Mine looks nose high after having them put just the front in and in retrospect I should have had them put the backs in as well.

It depends on witch Angel you see it but mine it measure exactly the same front and rear I'm in progress of adding 2 inch rear block from zone off road here is more pictures b2a8490aac908470e2622fc71056d076.jpgde2c5e9834c4532bc29f8024a2cf91b4.jpgf42c3854db2f78f5b42106145608fd79.jpg

here is a side pic of my truck before the level kit

here is the pic after it was leveled

the back end looks the same height in both pics so maybe they didn't install rear blocks. it just looks like they didn't bring the front up 2.25".

I'm not sure why yours look like that, now do you know if they installed the upper and lower strut spacers or just the lower it looks like it's only the 2 inch leveling kit to me and if u go on amazon they have the pro comp listed in think 150 or 170 not sure on the price and it's 2.25 inch ...good luck man

I called 4 Wheel Parts and they said that they installed the 2.25" level kit in the front and did nothing in the rear.

I recall my first sales guy telling me that the 2.25" kit was comprised of a 1.5" spacer and and .75" spacer for a total of 2.25". I asked if they possibly only put one of the spacers in and the guy I spoke to this time said it's only one 2.25" spacer and not 2 spacers. I hate nothing more than getting conflicting information from someone. Regardless who is correct they have someone working there talking to customers that doesn't know about their products.

I'm going there at lunch for them to look at it and confirm what they put on. If they say the installed 2.25 in the front then I'll probably just ask them to take it off and go elsewhere.

Anyone in the North Dallas area have a good place to recommend?

Looks like they left one of the spacers out. When I had my 2" level kit which was just a 1" thick lower spacer it came up exactly 2". Rear was only .75" higher after the install.

Went by 4 Wheel Parts at lunch and spoke to them. He went out and looked at my truck and said that both spacers were installed. He said they are both on top. That is different than what I was originally told (one bottom / one top). He said they were both on top and they did nothing to the rear.

Does anyone know definitively if both spacers are on top or if one is top and one is on the bottom?

The Asst Mngr I worked with originally is out today and will call me tomorrow.

Did you not measure your fenders before the install? What are they are now when you measure them?

Tyler

I did but I failed to write it down and I don't recall what it was. Don't know why I didn't do that.

Anyone with a 2016 Sierra SLT Z71 4x4 with stock 20s and tires mind measuring ground to bottom of fender at front and back for me?

Thanks,

Thats crazy some people got their truck completely level with the 2.25" level

I have the RC 2.5" level front only and still have a good half inch of rake.

I have just the 2 inch in the front and I think mine looks nose high at times. Crazy how much variation there is between trucks.

the variation seems to be between Z71 and regular 4x4. Also double cabs and crew cabs. Double cab Z71 seems to have the most factory rake

Pretty easy to see yourself. The thin sort of "U" shaped spacer should be between your lower control arm and the bottom of the strut.

this is another thing that really gets me about 4 wheel parts. the guy i worked with when i got it installed said it was 2 pieces - one at the top of the strut and one at the bottom. the guy i spoke with today initially said it was just one piece but after i pushed him on it he spoke to someone and said it was 2 pieces but he said both are at the top. from what i have read one is on top and one is on the bottom.

    • I'm not sure if this should be a new topic, let me know if it's out of place. This my first post. Thanks 85077522 - AC Delco GM Genuine Parts Brake Master Cylinders. Anyone else had to replace this brake master cylinder yet. I didn't do any brake work, it looks like new parts and I've had the truck for about 4k miles, 119k total miles.  When it started to throw codes I did the calibrations with a bidirectional scanner and got the codes to clear but they came back so I did the routine; base bleed, automated bleed and final base bleed. All that with Bosch ES16-32N fluid (please look it up). That seemed to fix it but 100ish miles later it failed again so I ran the same process but with a pressure bleeder this time and got the same results, fixed for 100ish miles. The original fluid looked bad and I thought I got most of it out, it could've been the wrong fluid. The codes; P25A2, C05B0-00, C2A1B. I can get them to clear but not for long. The C05B0 indicates a leak in the front circuit (which is bone dry) so I'm thinking of doing the bleed process on that front again today and I don't know if that's taboo to just do the front but at this point it seems like it's worth the try anyway. The new master cylinder/module unit is supposed to get here today. But now I'm pretty much convinced this install is over my head. I've called several shops and some mobile guys that I know but this thing is like radio active material, scary wise. I did get 2 local shops say they should be able to do it, one says he has the SPS2 programing capability. And with the battery disconnected is there supposed to be pedal resistance, mine is to the floor, then if I pump it I can get some resistance. I had a panic stop prior to this issue which may have contributed from what I read. And on the first attempt to bleed and hydraulic test the scanner listed things to look for and one was any gaps between the pad and rotors which I did notice on the RF corner and I removed the outer pad (where the gap was) cleaned it and the hardware and didn't see a gap after that but will re-check it. I read that if pushing the caliper pistons back then you're supposed to open the bleeder so as to not push fluid backwards into the abs module or it will damage it. If that's true then that's also a possibility from the previous owner having the brakes changed before I got it. I'm using an XTool ip500 scanner. Any suggestions, questions and comments welcome.
    • Next Friday will be my 6 week point from my right knee replacement.  The surgeon says it will be fine if I choose to drive after this checkup.  I know I could drive now but best to do as my surgeon (and my wife) tell me.  Richard compared being 62 to 72.  I remember when I was in my early 60's I was experiencing slow but regular decline in my mobility.  Thanks to good medical support,  i continued to fight the speed and spread of this decline. During my 60's I worked on non-surgical methods and just when I turned 70, my orthopedic surgeon recommended joint replacements.  In a little over a year, I had one shoulder and both knees replaced.  This hasn't been a terribly fun experience, but worth the discomfort as my future mobility health trajectory has reversed.  It is a treat to now be watching my mobility. balance and confidence steadily improve!
