I wouldn't waste money with trying to charge it. Take the skid plate off the bottom and look up at your ac compressor, I'm guessing the line split like many others have.

ok looked at those lines and they look ok but i did see lines that are closer to the condenser that look like the bottom one is leaking what looks like oil, i don't know much about a/c

Then take it to someone who does

My 2014 sierra had an AC hose replaced at 29000 miles under factory warranty, part number 23438932. Now at 52000, way out of warranty, same hose went out. service writer tells me GMC added an additional bracket to this hose assembly. I am wondering why GMC felt the need to 'tweak' this hose if it is not a mechanical issue. BTW, hoses are not covered on my extended warranty! The AC unit blows strong, but just not cold.

I have the older muffler style line and just checked it for cracks. Nothing so far. I wonder if the extra vibration from the engine operating in V4 (AFM) is causing the line to fatigue. I've had AFM disabled since 1500 miles. I'll probably add the bracket anyways. It's pretty cheap online.

my A/C started blowing hot air yesterday in my '14 Silverado. Took it to the dealer this morning and just heard back. Says there is a hole in the side tank of the condenser. And I'm out of warranty with 53k miles.

Replace condenser + evacuate & recharge = $812 + tax.

The condenser to dehydrater/drier tube weld/braze seems to be prone to cracking. Mine just failed at that location a few weeks ago, and im at 65k miles. I ordered a condenser and will be doing the work myself, as the dealer wants way too much to the job. It's 92°F here and humid... no A/C is not fun in my 1+ hour long commute home from work.

Does anyone know what PAG oil viscosity we need to use? someone posted the required amount to be added for certain part replacement within the A/C system, but did not specify which viscosity to use.

Had this bracket added to mine after the air stopped blowing cold air twice. It's been over a year since installation of the bracket and no problem.

I checked out this link but was unable to see what the part numbers are for this fix. Does anyone have these numbers?

I complained to GM via Facebook direct message and got back $300!
