I just left the dealership and the order is in as 'Sold.' A 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LTZ (1LZ), Crew Cab, Standard Bed, 4WD. I will keep this thread updated with whatever information I get.

Here are the options:

  • 20" Chrome wheels $1,495
  • LTZ Plus Package $770
  • Max Trailering Package $925
  • Cargo Convenience Package $795
  • 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 engine $2,695
  • 8-speed automatic transmission $0
  • 7600 lbs. GVWR $0
  • 3.42 rear axle ratio $0
  • Engine block heater $90
  • Integrated trailer brake controller $0
  • Chevrolet MyLink® audio system with 8" Diagonal Color Touch with Navigation $495
  • Bose® sound system $0
  • Wireless Charging $0
  • Front full-feature leather-appointed bucket seats $510
  • Heated and vented seating $650
  • All-weather floor liner $200
  • Interior driver assist handle $80
  • P275/55R20 All-season blackwall tires ($200)

  • Cross rails tiered storage system $0
  • 4" chromed tubular round assist steps $685
  • Spray-on bedliner $0
  • Cargo box LED lighting $125
  • Movable upper cargo tie-downs $0
  • Power heated outside trailering mirror with turn signal, LED rear guidance lamp, running lamp, power folding and chrome cap $295
  • Forward collision alert $0
  • Lane Keep Assist $0

My dealer is rather large and has all the brands: Chevrolet, GMC, Buick and Cadillac so they are going to call-in a few favors to make sure the truck gets built. They did miracles last time when I ordered my 2013 Avalanche so I have faith they will do well now.

I had a tough time contemplating between the 1500 and the 2500 but it finally came down to not needing the diesel all the time.

I am sure I'll be happy with my truck - either way it has a tremendous amount more power and towing capacity than my Avalanche.

So exciting!

I didn't know you could get the 6.2 with the 3.42 rear. I'm probably ordering one next week and I wasn't thrilled about the 3.23s.

I have almost the same truck but mines a 15. One thing I did not like was the huge towing mirrors. Swapped them out for the LTZ regular mirrors (DL3) and I could not be happier with the truck!

From what I know, the only way you can get 3.42's with the 6.2l is to get the Max Trailering Package.

Ohh, trust me, there will be pictures! I plan on wrapping her in clear bra as soon as I drive off the lot so she is always nice and purdy!

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure you can't get the Z-71 package when you get the max tow package. Because of the max tow having different shock valving

I wanted the Max trailering package when I ordered my truck but I could not get it with the Z71 package.

For the 6.2/8speed, the 3.42 comes with the NHT package (and is only available with the NHT package)
