Help me un-ugly my 2016

The color-matching front end is what makes the truck, and the color. The chrome with the autumn bronze metallic looks really bad.

I have a '16 Z71 LT in the same color, but it's color-matched, and looks way better.

I do agree, and plan to get, a level kit and different wheels/tires, etc. Not in a rush to spend all the money though because I know I'm going to have the truck for a really long time and have plenty of time to do everything that I want to do.

You have a great looking truck! It is a very popular look but I wouldn't say in comparison that the chrome looks "really bad". I have a bronze metallic Sierra with a chrome grill, bumpers, mirror caps, tow hooks and door handles. I am proud of how my truck looks but I also appreciate people have varying preferences.

I specifically meant chrome on the Autumn Bronze Metallic. :P

I actually really like chrome on the regular Bronze Metallic, like your truck.

Color change just the chrome bumper to the same color of your truck and it will look nite and day. Cost ? $350-$750.

Next replace your grill with one of the many after market grills. I like Billet grills myself but there are tons of choices. Just google them.

Something cheap like this that you can color code with the truck to rid yourself of that pseudo Chrome.

I think you should just embrace the chrome and add a high country grill and level it. That front end will look a lot better.

Honestly, I've still been chewing on this, and I think I'm just gonna let it be ugly.

It's so expensive to fix this!

An LTZ grill would look fine, the all chrome look, or the all painted look.. but I'm looking at at LEAST $600 to do anything.. and its just not worth it.

You should keep any eye on Rydell Surplus for a grill at a discount. Got my 14 HC grille at a great price from there and sold my stock one. Have about 100 bucks in the grille swap.

I think everyone is maybe too quick to react negatively to change in styling. Remember when Chevy changed drastically from the old boxy looking body to the rounded edge hoods in 99-00, I hated it at first as it was all i had ever known because my first was an 89 Silverado, Then a 94 Suburban. Gradually I really liked the way it looks and the past few years they went back to the more square body especially the hood which looked very different. I wouldn't say your truck is hideous at all, it is still a Chevy right?, but the grille definitely needs a little work. I bought an insert for mine and it dramatically changed the way the front end looks and wasnt terribly expensive, compared to replacing the entire front end like you had suggested. They are starting to make more for the 16s and i put up a picture of mine, it was the first modification I did to the truck. Good luck and whatever you decide please post pics.

What about black Plasti-dip on the bumper? It will cost you less than $10 and if you don't like it you can peel it off. The air dam and bottom center of the bumper are already black anyway so it may look good against the Iridium body ...

you could always look for take off parts on craigslist and ebay. That's what I've been doing for my 15, which I did get a midnight grille for 250 with a small scratch on it. I may end up at the dealership though for the bumpers... everyone wants around 800 bucks for bumpers and the dealer told me 750 for the front installed, and 600 for the rear installed and painted black to match my truck. Maybe you find something or possibly not, cant hurt to look

You gotta replace both entire headlight assembles though. Not worth it. I jus found out recently too that ABM is a 2016 only color, so we wont likely see very many factory painted takeoff parts in the future.

Oh well.. my fault for not paying for 4wd just so that i could have a painted front end..

I'm with ya, have the same LT front end, my Uncle has a LTZ in black with all chrome up front looks so much better but, I am not looking to spend 100's of dollars to change it up.
