Hey guys the wifes Malibu lease is about up so I have been calling and going in on a new Malibu leases or equinox leases for her. They barely give any extras incentives to get another gm vehicle when you turn a gm vehicle in on another one.I called gm customer service today and asked them if I could get one of those 1500 dollar special deals that people talk about. The woman told me know that it is random so I said well you can look my name up and see how many cars I have purchased from gm and she said ok.So she looked me up and said yes sir you have had alot of gm vehicles but i still cant give you a 1500 off coupon it is random.I figured if that is the way you want to treat loyal customers thatys cool but hey it is what it is.So i have a deal with the ford dealer up the road they are letting me turn in the malibu on a new ford fusion for same price i am paying on the malibu and when my lease is up on my silverado they are going to give me a good deal on a f150.I hate leaving chevy but when you have loyal customers wanting to get another one and give someone else a better deal when they dont have a gm product that rubs me the wrong way

To me it's kind of funny that you or anybody feels entitled. I've always had full size Chevy trucks since getting my license in '01 (that's all I've owned and my '14 is my 3rd one), but I didn't mention any of that when buying my '14. Hate to tell you, but from what I've heard, Ford and any other manufacturer is no different. Not going to try to talk you out of going to Ford, it's your money, just saying personally I don't think someone should feel entitled to get a better deal just because you've always owned GMs. Any huge company that I know of is probably also like that. I've always bought Caterpillar steel toe boots but I'm not going to try to get a better deal just because of it.

If I were buying a new car or truck today and GM just happened to send me the $1500 bonus, I would be very happy. It would just be icing on the cake, but lack of an offer would not make decide to switch brands.

I have bought at least 20 new GM vehicles through the years and I made my deal each time I purchased knowing that all the old deals were just history.

So are you mad you didn't get the 1500 offer or mad the dealer isn't giving you a better deal? If you want the offer play around on the website like everyone else does. To tell gm I have bought X amount of cars doesn't make sense, but to go to your dealer and say hey here is what I am looking for can you make it happen or I will go to another does make sense.

Gm just owes you what you pay for, I think the dealer is who needs to step up and earn your repeat business and service

Just seems like you should get the Buy Power Card and use rewards.

GM is probably barely making $1500 profit on those cars, so its no loss to them if you walk over not getting a discount. But if it makes you happy, then switch.

Your at the wrong dealer, I've been using the same dealer for 20 years and get better deals. Just about every business gives deals for loyal customers. Sometimes you can't be picky about the color, you should feel entitled and expect better treatment for being loyal. Every two years I get emails on deals from my dealer the know me and that I'll be looking. It's the dealer not the brand.

You have the choice to shop at any dealership you want. If you are interested in a Ford, GM isn't going to stop you from getting one. If you compare prices at a different GM dealerships, I bet they are pretty similar also.

With all the information on the internet now, each dealership has to be almost identical. When I bought my truck, I was talking to 3 dealers in 3 cities around me, they were within a couple hundred bucks in price. I chose the closest one out of convenience to me.

I have traded in 2 GM vehicles in the last 7 years and I got no "special" treatment either time.

By staying with one dealer they will give you an heads up if they have a vehicle that has set on the lot too long and is getting ready for deep discounts. Every car and truck I've bought from my dealer has saved me at least 12k, GMC and Hyundai. I trade every 18-24 months couldn't do it without the discounts and stay under 500$ per month. It's like leasing I'm never upside down and if I really like one I keep it. I've kept two an 01 Elantra and an 11 Geneses. I can't say that with my trucks but I used to put lots a miles on them.

I presume you mean 12k off the MSRP? Because if you saved 12k off the retail value, I need you to do negotiations for me.

I bought my truck last summer (near end of model year) and I got it for about 10k below MSRP.

In my area ford is doing 14k, GM 10-14k. Time of year and not being super picky will do it. Because I don't keep them long, a flaw on my part I'm not real firm on color or all the bells and whistles. If I could keep them I order Denali and trade every 8-10 years. Can't seem to go more than 2 years no matter what it is.

my grandma got discounts for staying with ford for 40 years..

as if she could walk in and choose anything and leave.

it was a lot of cars she went through.

those were glory days, the ww2 mentality of elite even if you're a retard or gangsta self declared royal serial killer something something..

I watched it end in 1985. the strange glory path of the nothing.

I would predict if someone pulled in with a malibu worked into every extra increasing value, someone who went the extra mile..

maybe 500k miles or something making gm look good.

you would think that would be loyal.

the most phenomenal changes are trucks.

they do not get anything either. No matter what they've done for how long or how strong they made it beyond engineers tiny profits of timed self destruction.
