Anyone bought the 2017 6.2L Denali? MSRP $63,050. I'm looking at one and just wondering how much would be a reasonable amount off MSRP considering it is still early in the model year. Thanks for any info.

That might be a record high here if that is a half ton truck.

Then I guess I got the record because it's a half ton. I'm not mad at the price. There were zero rebates for 17s when I bought it. I already sold my truck and had been without one for a couple of months. I needed a truck and I got exactly everything I wanted because I ordered it.

I was wondering what you paid but I didn't want to be intrusive,I believe in getting what you want cause it cost you later down the rode. You also got the 6.2 which hp compared to the 5.3 which would cost 7 to 10k more if going aftermarket, some of us 5.3 guys would have to do.

It looks like the other poster above got $1800 in rebates off of a Denali, so that's probably even higher. I agree though, there aren't a lot of rebates available on 17's yet, especially on the 6.2. I'm hoping to get the Denali 6.2, but not sure what a competitive price is yet. It looks like you got between 10-11% off MSRP, which seems decent considering you got every option you wanted and brand new in the model year. I will probably shoot for something similar hopefully.

My 6.2L is at MSRP for $57,800 at the moment (it arrives in 2 weeks). The dealership is working out the price for me today. I'm looking for 10% off.

My challenge is that there is an exact 2016 6.2L Midnight Edition LTZ-Plus nearby out-of-state with an MSRP of $58K but selling for $49K. It's going to be difficult for me to fork-over $59K MSRP for the exact same 2017 vehicle at my local dealer. ..

John, If the '16 is the exact truck you want, I would jump on it. No way they are going to drop the price on the '17 to meet the '16, especially on a 6.2! Besides, the only thing the '16 is missing is the cap-less fuel fill system.

Good luck what ever way you decide.

Yeah, I know they are not going to drop it to $49K. I'm expecting somewhere between $52K-$53K. Some 17s are hitting the lots around here already (non-6.2L) and they are already pricing them at around $52K and change.

I'll see what happens. I just have to keep in the back of my head that prices will start dropping after the initial wave hits lots---Chevy is going to have a lot of competition this Fall with the update 2017 F150 10-speed transmission and the Raptor. So they are going to have to wheel and deal soon to attract buyers.

I'll let everyone know what happens.

Raptor is a niche market truck that does not get cross-shopped with a standard half ton. It is also currently selling for MSRP + so I wouldn't use it as an example. Ford also set it's strategy on pricing with the 2015 model year. Higher price, less incentives to start the model run and it was very successful. I would get the 16 unless you are leasing and the 17 has better residual and rates.

Same price here for my 2017 6.2L Midnight LTZ-Plus: $52,600 before tax. It arrives in two weeks.

I just picked up my new 2017 6.2L Denali, 6.2l, MSRP $63,285.

Paid $56111, plus taxes of $1898.00, no BS fees.

OTD $59009.

Very little haggle, in and out in less than 1 hour.

I did not let them wash it.

So, the way it works is like this.....I had a 16' ordered, but it got changed to a 17'

You negotiate your price when you order it, period...... Then you get an additional $ amount of what ever incentives they are currently offering when you pick it up, not when you order it. So if they are not offering invectives. You don't get any more$ off..

So for example if you bought a 16'model in early July you received an additional 20% off MSRP....... Late July to current it's now @ 16% off MSRP because they have less to clear off the lots..... GM makes the invectives from month to month not the individual dealerships.

So basically those of us who bought or are buying 17's won't get those invectives, but on August 2nd they did offer some small invectives on 17's. On the 1st they didn't have any which is why I waited 24 hours to pick mine up to save the additional $500 that I wouldn't have gotten off I signed on the dotted line the day before.

Hope that helps some of you.

If my ordered 16 and 17 had showed up on my dealers lot on the same delivery truck, I would have bought the 16 because I would have saved an extra $8000..

.

In a year there won't be an $8000 difference.

So if you can find a 16 that works for you I would buy it!

I couldn't so I took my 17' and "paid for it" lol.
