I wish the seat backs on my '14 would fold forward to access the area behind the seat like the bench seat in my '91 Chevy Silverado.

In my '14 Reg Cab you must slide the passenger seat fully forward then tilt the back forward to get to the jack. The middle seat doesn't move -

at least I can't see how it can. Driver seat is power so I loose my settings if I move it forward to access the rear area - no memory on my SLE

driver power seat.

Oh heck the area behind the seat in my '14 reg cab is so much smaller than in my '91 so can't store as much as the '91 anyway.

It is weird how the area behind the seats has shrunk over the years....back in 84 you had a nice little tray back there.....even in the 90's you could keep a few small things back there......like you say nowadays it isn't good for much.

You'd think they would make it 8-10 inches.....then you could keep little things back there.

It's all about leg room now. Doesn't matter to short people like me .

It is unfortunate that regular cabs are not favourably priced. I believe they would be more popular if gm chose to price and equip them to sell. The same applies to trucks equipped with manual transmissions. There are plenty of us who would purchase a regular cab (and/or manual transmission) if given reasonable choices and prices. A regular cab pickup should be much cheaper to produce than a double or crew!

I wish they would offer the LTZ trim in the regular cab. It would be nice to get leather, sliding rear glass, center console, 6.2!, etc. It would be like an executive coupe in truck form. Oh well. I mean how hard is it to just add trim from the factory? It's not like they have to retool.

That is exactly what I wanted too !

You can get a RAM loaded up just about like that too....so it's not like they don't sell.

I always miss that sliding rear window.

I got a great deal on my Regular Cab IMHO. It'd been on the lot for a long time, and I knew it!!

If you could get a work truck Tahoe or at least an LS that wasn't $50k, then the demand for Regular Cabs would be much higher. If you could've gotten a Tahoe that was a W/T trim I would've gotten that as opposed to a truck.

OR a 2 door Tahoe !

This was our "car" back in the 90's.....love to have one today.

Great point! I often refer to my crew cab as a "poor man's Suburban"!

Na, A regular cab takes nearly the same effort as a double cab as does a crew cab. Any price difference would be dictated by supply and demand really.

Think of it like this, it is as easy to make 2 sandwiches as one right?

Cost for r&d is same as crew etc. Tooling the same. Only real cost difference is material. However the prices are just crazy. Just priced a loaded scsb z71 gmc and it was $45k.

I'd think the materials would be less though...less steel, glass, not as many seats.....lot of things.
