I hope I an over reacting but why is there no option under Build and Price to build a Regular Cab truck?

I can only see an option to build chevy 2017 online and only crew cab. Cannot see 2017 GMC online period.

They are only finished productions and ready to sell that line/style I guess.

They start building based on greatest sales... crew cab always first, double cab, single. And yes.. I'm surprised they even build single cabs anymore. I suppose they will be like a manual transmission soon.....gone.

I don't think the 2017 double and regular cabs are in production yet . I read online it was in Sept . Remember the crew cabs are built in a different plant than the double and regular cabs.

They're still building them though.

OP, almost all the automakers do a wonky rollout of the new model year configurator. The new Super Duty one is live but won't even load right now. Chrysler's sites will have the configuration tool for 2017 live soon but you'll have to enter the URL manually for weeks before it'll be linked from the home page. I'm sure others are similar.

They haven't started production that's why. Double and Regular cab start of production is 09/12/16. Crew cabs started 07/11/16. The 1500 Crews always start a couple months before (I'm sure popularity but the biggest factor is transit time due to being built in Mexico). The HD trucks are 10/17/16 for crew cab and regular and double follow the week later 10/24/16.

They will be added to the build and price closer to start of production, so maybe as early as late August, possibly a couple weeks into September.

When I took my truck in to the Line-X place several weeks ago, the guy behind the counter called my Regular Cab Long Bed; "The dark grey dinosaur."!!!!

Very small market for Regular Cabs these days. It costs too much money and hurts manufacturers CAFE metrics to produce certain vehicles, a regular full size is one of those models. They already discontinued the regular cab Tundra.

Yeah the standard cabs are made in Fort Wayne, Indiana so they are on a different production schedule.

Let's hope they always make the regular cab, I'd sure be lost without one.

Plus the Fort Wayne plant is being upgraded so they can build Crew Cabs so that may be an issue with the Reg. cabs.

I have a 2014 regular cab and plan on my next truck being a regular cab also . I did remember reading they planned on moving the crew cabs from Mexico to the Flint plant ? Anybody know when ?
