2017 Owners what key fob did your truck come with?

My 17 was the 1st one that came through the dealership and the key fobs I got are just all black. They don't even have the chevy symbol on the back. I thought it was kinda weird and figured I'd see what everyone else has? On a side note the dealer said that the truck only showed up with 1 key and fob. They had to cut an extra key and get another fob programed. I assume this is how I ended up with all black generic fobs.

What trim is your truck?

 

LTZ and High Country should have the chrome trimmed fob, if it's an LT or lower the black key fob is correct. Getting rid of the bowtie might be a cost cutting measure.

 

Correction: It looks like the black key fobs never had the Chevrolet bowtie on the back.

 

So, if your truck is an LT, you have the correct key fob.

We had a 2017 LTZ Max Tow double cab just come in. It has the chrome borders with bowtie on the back. Two keys and two fobs. Is yours an LTZ Z71 or an LTZ?

That's what my '14 LT came with. Too me it's not a big deal, it's just a key fob.

 

I got 2 keys and 2 fobs though.

It's not a big deal to me either. I was just curious if that's what was standard now. I'd think that it would at least have a Chevy symbol on it.

That could be why...if we get any in I will have to check the fobs.

It's the same with GMC. My 14 SLE had the plain black fobs like you got. My 16 SLT has the chrome sided ones with GMC on the back.

Not much. About 6k off. It was in August and there were still a bunch of 16s left getting a better discount. I ordered it and got exactly what I wanted.
