License Plate Lights

The only downside to swapping in LED bulbs in the license plate lamps is that OnStar constantly sends you bulb out warnings. Has anyone figured out a way to stop that?

That's odd. I haven't run into that issue with mine, and I've had LED's in my truck pretty much from day one (2015 Silverado 1500 LT).

One or more of the lights in your 2016 Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cab may have malfunctioned.

Could it be a different light on the vehicle? I swapped out multiple bulbs on my truck to LED and had no issues *knock on wood*

i GET THAT ONE AND THIS ONE!

"Good morning Alexander,

When you purchased your Silverado 1500, you elected to receive Dealer Maintenance Notifications from your preferred dealership, Dublin GM Super Store. OnStar has notified us that you are in need of the following maintenance on your 2015 Silverado 1500: License plate lamp.

What would you like to do?"

It would be a big coincidence as I had just messed with the license plate lights the night before. I wonder if I have the dealer notice turned off in my onstar and so i didn't get the other email.

in other news, I got an Onstar score of 85 last month. lol The 28 instances of hard acceleration messed me up.

Could do some "trial & error" by putting in the stock bulbs and see if that fixes the error or not. Or just delete the email lol. I'd be more annoyed if a dash light came on.

Yeah the notifications are not a big deal and I would much rather have that then an error on the dash!
