Just to reiterate what many others have said, pgamboa is the go to for mirror upgrades. I have been in contact with him, back and forth, for a month or so with all kinds of questions in regards to my swap. He was very prompt with getting back to me and there wasn’t a question he couldn’t answer.

I just completed the install of AM auto tow mirrors on my ‘14 Silverado and it all turned out awesome. RZY jumper kit was pretty tough I thought, but the custom PnP harnesses were a piece of cake. Highly recommend working with pgamboa if you are thinking about upgrading. 37f365c73289e3fe8e217e73426d4c5e.jpgde698190ea19a020db4df14d6b71a675.jpg63c88633d37b5dc4dcceb32deefb17d5.jpg

Looks good. And couldn’t agree more about working with pgamboa. It’s the ONLY way to go!

Thanks for the feedback everyone!

For anyone else looking to do this upgrade, please note that as of 10pm CST 10/9/17, I am in a SOLD OUT status. I do not have any harness sets available to sell at the moment. Also note that in order for me to continue this service for others, I solely rely on core returns of your stock harnesses. If ANYONE has a stock harness set that has yet to be returned, please send them as soon as you can. Otherwise, I will have to put this on hold until I get back to healthy level to continue.

Thanks everyone!

A while back I purchased the 1A mirrors and pgamboa's pnp harness and it worked amazingly. Recently I decided to put the chrome caps on the mirrors and in the process broke 3 out 4 of the glasses. Contacted 1A for replacement glass and apparently that doesnt exist with them. The only other option they had for me was to buy another set of mirrors from them. So i asked if any of the mirrors came with the chrome caps installed and they said no...so even if i did buy them the glass would probably break again. Long story short, dont try switching out caps unless you know exactly how to remove the glass without breaking them since replacements dont exist. Since I am fed up with 1A i did some research and bought a new set of mirrors from Boost Auto Parts. They let you customize your mirrors with a few difference options (cap color, front facing lights (amber/smoke, dots/strip), and also how the front facing lights work. Best of all, they sell replacement parts if you ever need them like me (no their replacement glass does not work with 1A mirrors...i asked). Once i get the new mirrors in and installed I will add pictures, just thought i would share these mirrors with other members in the market for mirrors. Boost is very responsive and is fimiliar with pgamboa and can tailor their mirror wiring to work with his harnesses or the factory ones.

It would be great if we can find an alternate source for after market power fold mirrors.  In my observations on tow mirror cap swaps, I did this to a set of 1A Auto Mirrors and found that the caps can be removed without removing the glass.  The just snapped in.  This was also the same result on OEM Mirrors as well.  I'll need to make a video showing this.

Thanks for the feedback and info!

    • Because that is IDIOTIC, much like this question. They've already been forced to do it by past administrations - why would you roll that back when it's a GOOD thing?  WHO IS ARGUING FOR LOWER MILEAGE???? 😂  NOBODY IS!!   I'm certainly not! What I want is RELIABLE vehicles again that are worth the price paid!    I don't get your logic here ...   In 2003 I paid $2,200 for our '86 Grand Marquis. It's STILL running and I've never been inside the engine, aside for the timing cover since it was leaking, so I threw a new timing set in since that makes sense. Transmission is ORIGINAL. Electric pump in the gas tank is ORIGINAL. Rear end is ORIGINAL. I'd have to hit my head REAL hard to want to pay $60k or more for a car that still can't come close to the comfort, seating and storage space, or reliability of this one. Nothing is even in the ball park! Hundreds of thousands of brands and models have been built and sent to the crusher while this one keeps on going!   https://postimg.cc/Z9XRrCSg   I've got a whole fleet of cars, motorcycles, and a truck close to this age for summer and winter. No one could pay me enough to buy anything built this century. I have zero use for any it.
    • Since I'm the one who has to fix them when they break, I'll take vehicles over 30 years old all day, EVERY day, over ANY modern crap. Have you attempted any repairs on anything built after 2006? It's a friggin nightmare, and gets worse the newer the model year.    If I had the will or desire, I can make any car of any age outside of a Model T (I don't have THAT much will ...) just as powerful, comfortable, and have all the tech the new stuff does, and get pretty close in mileage, too. I prefer SIMPLICITY. The less the vehicle has, the less to fix WHEN it breaks, not IF.   I'm glad you snot-nosed punks don't like them. More for us, plus that keeps the prices from climbing more than they already have.👍
    • Bringing this thread back on topic. I just noticed the incredible lack of bright chrome across the entire new lineup. Even the Denali has tinted the brightwork in the grille and has none elsewhere. None of them have chrome bumpers. As far as I can tell there aren't even chrome mirror caps. I'm curious if this also happens out back? Are there no chrome rear bumpers either? This is quite the departure for GMC.
