Stall

I have a 16 rc I don't want to do any motor work just yet but I think a mild stall converter would help out a lot. What are you guys using ?

What's the stock stall? I don't want anything crazy. Just something to get off the line a little better

I think stock is about 1600-1800, with a blower its more.

They take a stock converter and open it up and rework it for a higher stall. A lot of TBSS guys bought theses converters for the 4l70 trans. I requested mine not painted. Looked stock just in case.

Stall converters on street driven vehicles today are not needed as much as the past. Most cars and trucks that you would put a stall in will roast the tires. If you put tires on them to make it hook up they'll leave pretty hard. Putting your money in other mods will bring better benefits.

In that case I think I'll be better off with a regular circle d because I'd have to buy a stock one and send it to them

You can buy the reworked one for about $550. No core.

Ah OK perfect. It's not set in stone but I figure it'll help me get off the line since I'm not doing motor work. The suspension is just about set up though

So I've been speaking with circle d. They say that they only recommend the restalled stock 300mm for vehicles that tow heavily

 

They recommended a 278mm 2600 stall for what I need. And it's 550 and in stock
