Easiest method to remove Level Kit?

Recommended Posts

Had my rough country level lift on my 2016 Silverado for quite a while, lately my front end suspension (i believe) has been making a weird squeaking sound at speeds below 50mph and over uneven surfaces. Truck drives fine and handles fine, however after checking the bolts so many times over, the squeak hasn't gone away, so I want to take my level kit off and see if that's the reason for the squeak. I'm getting a real suspension lift done in a few months so I'd like to find the issue to the squeak before my zone 6.5 lift.

Any tips on removing the level kit as easiest as possible?

thnx.

See previous post...problem fixed.

The leveling kit isn't making any sort of noise. Bad ball joints and other parts are making the squeaking sounds.

Wasn't the kit..Was this bolt in the picture posted...Is there a recall or TSB for this? If not, then the only other people to go under my truck was Firestone when i got my alignment done. Firestone dickheads drew this on the bottom of my car, did they also remove this nut to a tranny/motor mount?

Thoughts?

Well with putting graffiti on the frame I would not trust them.

It may have just fallen out or they are fishing for more work and took it out knowing you would come back.

Then put it back and charge you for stuff you didn't need.

It's getting harder and harder to fins honest shops for sure.

Look up Firestone in consumer affairs.

I would too, but it'll be hard to prove who did it

Would be impossible to pin this on Firestone but I know for sure it was Firestone...My car is kept in a secured underground garage at work and in my driveway which is gated at home. What I don't know is what happened to that transmission mount/bolt lol...Looks rusted and fell off...

Well it's at the dealership now, will keep you guys posted.

Problem fixed, dealer tech checked the mount and fastened it up according to spec, mount was fine. On another note, dealer used 5w30 instead of 5w20 on their "complementary oil change" ugh.

Honestly, i dropped my truck off at the service center around 10:30am and it wasn't ready until 6pm, service center closes at 7pm, i just wanted to get my truck home and be done with it. i'll be changing the oil soon anyways.
