Who has more trucks on the road....

Just made about a 12 hour round trip drive to visit the in laws....always felt in the past the roads were covered in gm and ford trucks. Is there a changing of the guard? I bet every 3rd truck was a newer Ram? Are they pumping the Rams out or has the pricing of the gm/ford line pushing people to a cheaper option? Just wondered if anyone else has noticed this

My uncle likes ram pickups. I think he is nuts though. I would never own a dodge product. He drives 18 wheelers for a living, and acts like 18 wheelers and 1/2 ton trucks are comparable.

Mostly Chevys/GMC (GM) and Ford. I see as many Dodge as I see Toyota Tundra's around here though, but this is the PNW so.. I guess people just like trucks here.

Where I'm at it see way more chevy/gmc. But then again maybe I just notice them more because I like them...

Not sure what I think about the newer dodges. One day I like them and one day I don't....I will say they have come along way on the last few years

Numbers say F-series is the #1 seller, but that includes their super duty line. Numbers also say that GM sells more 1/2 tons. But the fun side of me remembers this commercial from the 90's:

If'n you hang in areas that are 3/4 ton+ trucks....................it'll be Dodge/Cummins and GM/Isuzu in the diesel world.

 

Ford killed themselves in the diesel world with the 6.0h no, then the 6.4ordly, and the jury is still out on the new 6.7. The 6.7 seems solid; but from my Buds, they say its a thirsty diesel.

The Rams are cheaper. My B.I.L. loves them, even thinks they are better than GM! He says to me " why hasn't GM switched to the coil spring suspension, it's superior! " I replied "they did, it was in the 1960's and if it was so good they would still be doing it, I suppose Dodge still hasn't figured that out yet!"

I've debated the Ram numerous times but always end up with a gmc....never a reason for steering away from the Rams other than I know gmc and what I get with them

I never cared for Dodge but I have to say they have come a long ways and look pretty nice now. Ford on the other hand gets uglier and just make me laugh when I see a Ford fan boy brainwashed into liking his gimiky " truck".

Definitely more Chevy trucks in my area.

90% of all Ford trucks made since 1990 are still on the road. The other 10% made it home.

 

Serious note though in my area it's almost all Ram and F-150, followed by Chevy, Toyota Tacoma, and me and my GMC stand out nicely. Starting to see almost as many Colorado/Canyon's as Tacoma's though.
